"What do you want?"
"Is that anyway to talk to your hyung? How have you been Wonwoo?"
I just left the room with Mingyu's jaw hanging over the floor. The moment I said "ex" the man could barely keep his eyes from popping off from his skull. I had to leave the room and deal with this quickly before misunderstandings started to bottle up.
"Hyung my ass. Seriously, what do you want? I'm kind of busy." his voice was still as calm as ever. The way his low voice chuckles into this almost vibrating tone over the phone. You could just tell that he's smiling as he was talking on the other end of the line.
"I sent you something. Did you see it?"
"Huh? Where?" I looked at my screen and checked if there were any new notifications.
"Just now."
Dingggg~~~
I opened the notification where it brought me to my email account.
"What's this?"
"Open it and see for yourself."
The content of the email was truly unexpected.
"A wedding invite. Damn, hyung. You really don't care that I'm your ex huh?"
"You were my friend first before you became an ex."
I read through the invite and saw the name of the bride. "Can't believe Eun Ae managed to tolerate your sorry ass all these years. How's she been?"
"Hey, I'm a catch okay? And yeah, she's doing well. She even asks about you. She wants us to eat together the moment we get back in korea."
"And be the third wheel of you two? No thank you."
"Seriously Wonwoo. We miss you. Plus, I'll bring you loads of ice cream when we get there."
Seungcheol was always like this. He was always unnecessarily kind to everyone, confusing other people and sending them mixed signals unintentionally. I was a victim of said 'kindness' and foolishly fell for him back then in college.
"Fine. But just because Eun Ae is looking for me, and totally not because of you or the ice cream."
He was my senior in college. Though we were in different departments, I would see him hang around by the canteen and library with his friends. I met him the same time I went around sleeping with other people, trying to figure out my sexuality and whatnot. I was never looking for a long term relationship since I had my studies to prioritize more. But during a party held by our university, he came to me all of a sudden.
"Hey, are you alone?"
"Yeah. my friend just ditched me." stupid Minghao.
"That's a bummer. Can I sit with you then?" I thought he was talking to me for the same reason I went to this party in the first place.
"I saw you playing a game on your phone, can't believe I've met someone who's reached that level already." To my pleasant surprise, he just approached me because he wanted to talk about games. It was nice having such a conversation with someone. Though I went there with impure intentions, I was happy to have met someone who I have shared some type of connection with.
We exchanged contacts then and naturally started to hangout with each other. We'd spend time together whenever our schedules allowed us to. We talked about everything under the sun, which of course included my sweet tooth and sexuality. By this time I was already falling for my kind senior and the man had no clue.
