That was definitely him. I'm sure of it. I had my suspicions, but after sweeping through all the possibilities and coincidences, it all makes sense now that those two are actually the same person.

After I left the clinic I went straight to the shop to tell Vernon that I was fine with working the night shift again. I sorted all the documents that the collaborators sent me and my tooth has recuperated a long time ago. I was feeling very excited today, especially since I just left the clinic on a good note and I was really looking forward to seeing the masked regular again.

I waited with earnest anticipation of him walking through the glass doors, and when he did, my heart just started pounding so loudly. But this time, I knew exactly why it did just so.

"Wonwoo." I muttered to myself.

The mask he was wearing wasn't the same as the one he used at the clinic. He even changed out of his scrubs and lab gown to a more casual fit. He tried so hard to erase every bit of "Dr. Jeon" each time he went in here and tried to dress as a mere candy fanatic. I've observed Wonwoo close enough to say for sure that this man, who enjoys eating crazy amounts of candy, is the same person as that man across the street that works as a dentist.

Aside from their similarities in appearance, both of them are left-handed. I've seen Wonwoo write things down and this man here also hands me his money with his left hand. If that wasn't enough evidence, he actually smells exactly like the clinic. My family had cleverly nicknamed me as "Bloodhound" since I have such a sensitive nose that's quick to pick up on scents. The first few times he went here, I just assumed he was a patient guardian since he smelled like disinfectant and alcohol. It would make sense too why he always wears a mask.

I watched him sweep through the aisles and pick up gummies and chocolates along the way. I guess he wasn't feeling the dark chocolates today.

I tried my best to keep it low-key. But my eyes wouldn't stop from following him everywhere he went inside the shop. He was circling around pondering which ones to buy next. He suddenly stopped and faced my direction. Squinting his eyes as if trying hard to see something. Is he looking at me? Does he recognize it's me? I'm a bit far though so I doubt he could tell it's me.

As I was thinking of the possible thoughts that could be running through his head that time, he looked back down on the floor again and started walking to where more gummies were displayed.

I guess he wasn't looking at me then.

He started walking towards the counter and placed his basket on top. He never looked up and went straight to get some cash from his wallet.

"20 dollars."

He silently gave me his money while remaining eye contact with the floor.

Doesn't he recognize my voice though? I doubt my voice is any different from when I talk to him at the clinic.

"Here's your bag, enjoy your night."

He just nodded and left.

Is he avoiding me perhaps?

Whatever his reasons are, at least I know now that my heart has been actually beating for the same person all this time.

I'm never letting him go now.

Since then, 2 months has passed and he still doesn't seem to realize that it's me at the register. I didn't try to push my luck by exposing him at the shop. I'm just looking for chances as to when I could finally reveal myself.

Never gonna look down on Clark Kent's disguise again after all this.
