The rhythmic beating of Silvester's heart fills Nadi's eardrum, bringing her peace while her warm eyes remain on the current action movie she was watching on her MacBook. After spending the majority of her morning behind her wheel, driving miles on end to deliver her well thought out Christmas gifts she returned to her apartment where Silvester helped her load the gifts she had for him along with her luggage.
After that, the couple made the thirty minute ride to the airport, arriving just fifteen minutes before their flight was set to leave. Their flight had taken off well over an hour ago and still had a good two and a half hours to go until they'd land in Denver. "Do you want to open a few of your gifts now, Nadi Baby?" Nadi lifts her head while Silvester slips his cellular device in the pocket of his sweatpants. His eyes were glued to it the moment they stepped foot on his jet, but Nadi didn't mind it since she knew he was in contact with builders who were altering the art school before the children's return in January.
"Christmas is three days away, I can wait." She smiles and scoots over as Silvester slowly gets out of their comfortable bed. He yawns and stretches his limbs then reaches for her hand.
"Come." Nadi grabs his extended hand and lets him pull her out of bed into his warm embrace. Her dainty arms wrap around his torso as she rests her chin upon his firm chest and meets his dark, mesmerizing eyes that results in her down turned lips forming a smile. Six months into their relationship and she still couldn't get over how alluring they were and how easily they pulled her in.
She stands on her tippy toes and gently brushes her lips against his full, moisturized ones then tucks them as she thinks about opening one of her gifts.
From what she could see, she had endless ones. Bags with names of luxury stores engraved in them down to simple gift bags that were stuffed with tissue paper leaving her much more curious. "I'll open just one, but I want you to pick for me." Silvester nods and takes her hand in his, leading the way out their private room into the cabin where her gifts along with his mother's sat, occupying a few seats.
Nadi's small hand slips from his as she stands and watches him look over the gift bags before he settles on a black one. "Open this one, baby." Nadi smiles when he grabs her hand and pulls her into his lap as he sits in one of empty chairs to the far right. Silvester rests the bag on her jean covered lap and gestures for her to open her gift. Nadi shuts her eyes then reaches inside the bag, excitement fueling her as her fingertips brush along the cream colored box.
She removes it then looks over her shoulder at Silvester, smile along his face as he waits for her to open it. "What is it?" Nadi places the bag to the side then lays the box in her lap. She closes her eyes once more then slowly lifts the lid and looks down at the smaller green box within it. Mouth now agape, she reads over the words engraved on the front flap of the box then looks back at Silvester.
"Oh my god." She whispers, honey eyes glued on the box. Her heart begins to race once her warm eyes land on the beautiful two toned gold Rolex.
"Silvy.." Tears spring in her eyes from the beautiful jewelry piece she knew cost more than her mind could calculate, just looking at it had her heart racing from how much it could possibly cost.
