Kapitulo 12
Malice
"I feel like I deserve ten more kisses."
Cyra chuckles at Adiel's words before giving him a few more pecks on the lips. Pagkatapos ay tiningnan niya ang lalaki. She mutters, "I missed you."
Adiel replied through an embrace. His neck bent to be between her neck and shoulder. His hands pulled her closer as if it was their first hug ever—or maybe as if it was their last. He wasn't sure anymore; all he knew was that no amount of words and touch could suffice the longing he felt away from her.
Of course, they both handled the LDR situation fine, but there was still the inevitable... emptiness they felt in some moments. So, they make up for it every time Cyra comes back for a little bit.
Being far away from Cyra, for Adiel, meant he couldn't go to her house when he wanted. It meant no more face-to-face dates. It meant he had to wait hours before he could catch her online on Facebook and video call. Also, he couldn't instantly share his thoughts with her as often as he could because he knew and respected she needed time to herself too.
Mature naman na siya, alam niya na ang halaga ng time to one's self. So, as much as he could, he let Cyra have that. After all, he too had almost all the time in the world to himself whenever she was in the UK.
Cyra being the woman that she was also dearly missed her longtime crush. She doesn't tell anyone, but in her dorm in UK, she has a special pillow and she would use that to imagine Adiel was with her. Yakap ang paborito niyang bagay na gawin kay Adiel, kaya talagang niyayapos niya ang unan na 'yon na para bang gabi-gabi niya nga na kasama matulog ang lalaki.
The two were in a hotel right now, having a weekend celebration of Cyra's birthday. It was a gift from Cyra's parents, and Adiel was allowed to join the woman. The room has a clean and simple interior, in one glance, people would feel sleepy because of the comfy-looking white duvet. The colors of the place were neutrals, giving off a quiet yet serious feeling. The circular table where Adiel and Cyra could eat was filled with their stuff right now since they had just arrived.
"Are you hungry?" Cyra asked the guy while she was opening her backpack.
"Not yet, you?" he asked back.
"Hindi pa naman? Wan to do anything? Sabi ni Mommy, maganda raw gym here 'tsaka entertainment area."
Instead of answering, Adiel just lay on his back and looked at the white ceiling and then at the glass window. From the balcony of their room, one could see a beautiful mix of scenery. Malapit kasi sa Tanay ang hotel, kaya may makikitang buildings at green mountains sa balcony.
"I want to stay here for now, ang ganda ng view, e," Adiel replied before glancing at his girlfriend who was now removing her jacket.
Cyra looked at him and smiled. Naglakad ito at humiga sa tabi ng lalaki. She put her head on one of the pillows unlike Adiel who was a little below her, head on the duvet.
"I really wish the school here was the same as yours in the UK, mas mabilis inyo." Adiel said.
"I know, I can't believe how different they are," sabi naman ni Cyra.
"Mas nakapapagod dito," he mutters while slowly embracing the woman, his head on her chest.
"I know. That's why I can't believe na we're a third-world country, sometimes," she puts her hands on his head.
"I fucking hate that word. I hate that this country is labeled as 'third'. Who even thought of ranking countries? Iba-iba kaya circumstances ng mga bansa."
