Kapitulo 17
Right Direction
She didn't like putting wet clothes in the washing machine, so she had told him a few times already to stop doing his habit. Of course, because he was a man, he says 'I forgot' before apologizing everytime.
She sighed and put the damp cloth on the dirty clothes basket near the door of their bathroom.
In the kitchen, he was prepping for dinner. But, at the same time, he was thinking real hard about something.
It had been a few months since they got married. Their parents knew that that two would save up to buy a house, so this unit would be their shelter for the time being.
Their marriage was steady, fresh, and easy right now. Of course, a few months had already revealed some things about both, but there was still so much to be shown in the years to come. It was safe to say both loved the idea of coming home because it was still new.
After bathing, Cyra went out and put on her clothes before doing a facial routine.
"What are you cooking?" she inquired.
"Pork and green bean stir fry, found this on Facebook a few days ago. Mukhang masarap, kaya susubukan ko gawin ngayon," Adiel says.
"Ohhh." Cyra stares at him. "Anything happened today?"
Sabi niya three days 'yon."
"Wow! Really? That's great, you'll represent your company."
Cyra sits on the stool, putting her elbows on the kitchen island. Adiel was on his side from her view because he was cutting near the sink. Their condo unit was simple because nag-iipon nga sila. They had a few utensils and cooking materials, four chairs with a dining table, a couch, a small flatscreen TV, two sets of pillow case and mattress covers, one bedside table, and one small cabinet in the living area for their shoes inside and picture frames on top.
Thirty minutes later, Adiel called his wife from the bedroom to eat dinner.
"Wow, it smells so good, love," Cyra said as the aroma of the freshly cooked pork with the other ingredients traveled to her nose. "Parang ang sarap!"
