We ventured into ancient ruins on our final mission. The atmosphere was tense as we explored the forgotten corridors, the air thick with the weight of history. Elesis was as beautiful and powerful as ever, but her beauty-her presence-seemed to have caught the eye of the wrong people. The men of the group watched her closely, their eyes filled with something darker, something I didn't immediately understand.
It wasn't until it was too late that I realized their true intentions. They had been planning this all along. As we fought our way through the ruins, I was ambushed. A sudden strike from behind, and I felt the cold steel pierce my back. They stabbed me, left me to die in the water's rapid current, and turned their attention fully to Elesis. They had wanted her all along, and now, they thought they had rid themselves of me.
