Days turned into weeks, and our once simple adventures became something else entirely. The darkness that had consumed Elesis seeped into every part of our journey. She no longer fought to protect others; she fought for me, for her right to keep me by her side.
And I couldn’t escape her.
No matter where I went, no matter how hard I tried to break free, there she was—waiting, watching, always ready to pull me back into her embrace.
