"My sister was supposed to show me, but she sort of ditched me, and then I met a rich girl who I sorta blew up, and then I ran into you" Ruby added, causing Gwen to raise an eyebrow, before humming in thought.
"Why not come with us then? We're on our ways there now" Gwen offered, causing Ruby's mood to brighten as she nodded.

Walking into a large assembly room Gwen noticed the good amount of other students in the room, but most notably, she noticed the three others that would make up team RWBY.
Yang Xiao Long, Ruby's older half sister. She had the semblance known as "Burn" which allows her to absorb the kinetic energy of blows laid against her, and then use that energy to strengthen herself. From what Gwen could tell, Ruby was a bit older than in canon, 17 to be exact, while Yang was roughly 9 months older or so, nearly 18. Which meant that there was a good chance Tai (their father) had either cheated, or Raven, Yang's mother, had left immediately after having her.
