Chapter 156: Intruders

[3rd POV]

It was the next morning after the initial meeting with the Spider People, and a bit had happened. Which mostly included Gwen and Peni fixing up and making an improved version of the "Goober" which was basically an override key meant to neutralize the super collider in order to shut it down.

Gwen during this time, had talked with some of the other members of the team a bit, learning more about each of them, as well as revealing a bit about herself, like the fact that she was teaching other people, and the fact that she had the same suit as Gwen-65 but wore this one to not cause confusion.

She had tested her limits with her currently restrained powers, and found that she was still decently strong, but nothing in comparison to normal. At the very least her senses were still impressive, and she still had all her memories, so that made up for the difference in strength and physical capabilities.

She found that Peni was quite the little genius herself, and thanks to her forming from the year 3145, she had technology far more advanced than even her Earth had...for the most part. It was from this that she had gotten a good look at some of the more advanced technology that she held, and found it to be impressive, even to her standards.

Her symbiotes were still at full power, thankfully, so she shouldn't have too much to worry about. Well, at least, that was if she didn't run into someone especially strong, like Juggernaut or something.

At the moment Gwen was sat in Aunt May's living room, the rest of the team sitting or standing in the living room as well, with only Peni gone as she was putting the final finishing touches on the Goober, mostly aesthetic ones and not technological ones, as Gwen had improved it far beyond anything she could make. The goober would work on not only the super-collider, but basically any and all devices, making it a very useful object for Miles when he eventually became a proper hero.

Peter Noir sat across one of the couches, playing with a rubix cube as he gazed at it "This is...purple?" "No" "Blue?" "No" The man couldn't really see color, being from a Noir world afterall, so he was trying to figure out the colors with Peter Porker.

"Has anyone heard from Miles?" Gwen-65 asked, as the teen had been gone for several hours now, which was growing to become a worry of theirs, especially after the talk Gwen had given them. The group felt awful for the way they were treating him, and more than that, they didn't want to ruin the chances of a potential hero just because of what they had said to him.

"Look, he's just clearing his head. I know the kid. He's got what it takes, like what other Gwen here said. I bet you he's gonna come back through that door, recharged, and ready to fight" Peter said, almost immediately the door behind him was opened by an exhausted and terrified looking Miles.

"Hey, where have you been?" Peter asked, he had been missing for hours, and told no one where he had went and why he had left, which was concerning, especially with Kingpin and his goons running around causing all sorts of problems.

"My uncle, my uncle Aaron, he's the Prowler! He works for Kingpin!-" "Slow down, Miles" "He tried to kill me!" Miles panted out, as Peter Noir spoke up.

"This is a pretty hardcore origin story" Gwen stifled a laugh at that one. The man was unknowingly hilarious when he wanted to be.

"It's okay. We're gonna figure it out" Peter calmed him. He could tell that Miles was terrified, as finding out that your uncle was a villain that almost certainly killed innocent people would come as a shock to any more person.

"Were you followed?" Gwen-65 asked as she frowned, while Miles shook his head. If he was followed, it would be a rather large problem, considering how many goons Kingpin has under him, goons that would be coming for them and the goober that they had only just now completed.
