Chapter 146: Another Otherworldly Quest

[3rd POV] [A couple of days later]

A couple of days later, after the finding of Vibranium, Gwen was in the first of her one on one sessions, with Rogue. The girl needed it more than most, as she couldn't even touch another person without fear of accidentally killing them, absorbing their powers and life force. Gwen was one of the few that the ability wouldn't affect in the least, with only a couple of others being able to touch the girl.

During those couple of days, Gwen had also decided to make a "Subsection" of clones that were now traveling around the world, and the solar system doing one thing and one thing only, and that was finding materials of various kinds. So far, she had found thousands of tons of various materials like Iron, gold, platinum, and a few dozen others. She had even found a bit more vibranium, but only a small fraction of the main asteroid she had claimed two days prior.

Sitting in the classroom, Gwen was silently watching as Rogue breathed out, eyes closed as she had her legs crossed. One of the various methods that Gwen believed would help Rogue gain control over her power, was meditation, as a lot of her inability to control her power, was in fact, a psychological thing, and not an actual aspect of her ability.

"Good, you're doing good. Keep focusing your mind, disregard the outside world and focus on yourself, and yourself alone. For your power is not uncontrollable by nature, but by psychological means" Gwen softly said, as Rogue breathed out, listening to what her teacher said as she "looked inwards".

Gwen nodded as the girl had actually begun to look inwards as she wanted her to. It was one of the more important things she had to do in order to gain proper control over her own power. And it was only the start, with other mental health exercises being necessary.

Sitting back, Gwen silently watched the girl, keeping a good watch on her emotions as she shuttered slightly 'Looks like she's already started' Gwen thought. What Rogue was going through right now, was one of the roots of her inability to control her power, the incident that went down when she first activated her powers, where she absorbed her boyfriend's life force through a kiss, forcing him into a coma that would inevitably lead to his death.

Gwen was helping bring up these memories with a bit of telepathy, but nothing too malicious. And should it be too much, she'd move in and help Rogue get through it. But so far it didn't seem she would need to do that, not yet at least.

Glancing at the time, Gwen hummed "Rogue, it's time to finish up" Gwen softly said, noticing it was around 4 and she needed to do some other rather important things, most of all, she wanted to complete another challenge quest, this time, the Naruto one.

Hearing this, Rogue's eyes fluttered open as she let out a shudder filled sigh "What was that?" Rogue asked, as she looked at Gwen who softly smiled.

"The start to overcoming the psychological block that stopped you from controlling that power of yours" Gwn replied, as Rogue nodded slowly in understanding, before getting to her feet.

"I-thank you for this Gwen, really" Rogue said as she waved goodbye to Gwen, and walked out of the room shutting the door behind her.

'Looks like those memories got to her. Let's hope she can work through them, as otherwise I'll have to step in and intervene' Gwen thought as Rogue left, wondering if she'd be able to work through the memories she had seen, and dealing with the trauma.

'For now, let's get this challenge quest done with' Gwen decided, as she gazed at the otherworldly quest she had chosen.
