The next day, Logan was up early, moving around the apartment with quiet purpose. Lando watched from the couch, his curiosity piqued as Logan rummaged through his things.
"What are you up to?" Lando asked, his brow raised as he leaned over the backrest to peer at Logan.
Logan flashed a secretive grin but didn't answer. "You'll see. Just get ready to head out by six."
"Six? That's so specific."
"It's a surprise." Logan gave him a quick kiss before walking out of the room, leaving Lando intrigued and slightly impatient for the evening.
---
By the time six rolled around, Lando was dressed and ready, his curiosity barely contained. Logan, looking effortlessly handsome in a simple sweater and jeans, met him at the door with car keys in hand.
"We're driving?" Lando asked.
Logan nodded, his grin widening. "Yep. Let's go."
The drive was quiet, with soft music playing in the background as Logan navigated their way up into the mountains above Monaco. The city lights faded behind them, replaced by the serene beauty of the hills and the twinkling stars above.
Eventually, Logan pulled up in front of a small, charming restaurant tucked into the mountainside. It looked cozy and intimate, with warm lights glowing through the windows.
"Wow," Lando said as they stepped out of the car. "This is... perfect."
"I thought you'd like it," Logan replied, taking Lando's hand as they walked inside.
The interior of the restaurant was just as inviting as the exterior—dim lighting, soft music, and only a handful of tables, all spaced far apart. Logan had clearly chosen it for its privacy, and Lando felt a rush of gratitude as they were shown to their table by a friendly server.
---
The evening unfolded like something out of a dream. They shared plates of rustic, flavorful food, laughing and talking like they didn't have a care in the world. For once, it felt like they were just a normal couple, away from the pressures of racing and the public eye.
"This place is amazing," Lando said between bites of a rich pasta dish. "How did you find it?"
Logan shrugged, a small smile playing on his lips. "I've been keeping an eye out for places like this. Somewhere quiet, just for us."
Lando reached across the table, taking Logan's hand in his own. "You're incredible, you know that? I don't think I've ever felt this... relaxed before."
Logan's cheeks flushed, but he didn't look away. "You deserve it, Lando. You've been working so hard, and I just wanted to do something special for you. For us."
Lando's heart swelled, and he gave Logan's hand a gentle squeeze. "You've already made it perfect."
---
By the time dessert arrived, they'd both let their guards down completely. Lando found himself leaning closer to Logan, hanging onto his every word as they talked about everything from Zandee's antics to their dreams for the future.
"Do you think we'll ever have a quiet life like this?" Logan asked, his voice soft.
Lando tilted his head, considering the question. "Maybe. Someday. But even if we don't, as long as I've got you, I think I'll be okay."
Logan smiled, his eyes shining with emotion. "Me too."
---
After dinner, they stepped out into the crisp mountain air, the sky above them clear and filled with stars. Logan wrapped an arm around Lando's waist, pulling him close as they stood by the car.
