As expected, the people who stood on the door were the three brothers,

And their father.

Wonwoo, at first freezes when he realises it was Mingyu's father who stood in front of him, and though he had expected him here, he never guessed all three brothers were gone to accompany their father back at home.

It was a good thing that he immediately steps back and bows towards him, an action that brings out a chuckle full of fondness making the old man pulls him in a hug, patting his back as he laughs in bewilderment, "You don't have to do this, not to me atleast."

When he pulls away, Wonwoo watches a genuine smile of endearment flashing over his lips, suddenly it makes him realise maybe Mingyu's father was the only one happy to see him.

Because the brothers looked very much dead inside, even exchanging glances that tells their father was still not told about the divorce-

Wait a minute-

Wonwoo hadn't told about it to his family as well!

His father also doesn't know about it!

Well-

Fuck!

"Wonwoo hyung!" Chan, the ever excited one in between four of them and little late as well, immediately runs up to him and hugs him from side, beaming, "How are you? We called you so much before leaving but you didn't pick up your phone."

"Yes, Wonwoo," His father too asks the same question as he gestures Wonwoo to walk inside, and Wonwoo follows him obediently, the three brothers lingering behind while having their silent conversations as Chan and him accompanied their father, "I wanted to meet you before leaving but you didn't pick up your call. Mingyu said you were stuck with your presentation so you wouldn't be able to make it-"

"Actually uncle," It was obvious that Mingyu lied on behalf of him, but for first time Wonwoo wanted to speak something with was truth, "I actually fought with my brother that day..."

His father stops walking and then stares at Wonwoo with an unreadable expressions, but Wonwoo looks behind, his eyes meeting that of Mingyu's and the surprise flashing in them immediately makes the older to look away and turn his head to his father, "When Mingyu called me, I was in library, and I thought he was trying to get on my nerves too."

"I- I just wanted to be alone."

Wonwoo's tough demeanor suddenly faltered, the guilt sweeping in his veins when the hatred he expected to see on Mingyu's father face never really arrived. Infact he ruffles Wonwoo's hair, the smile even more warmer than before, "That's alright. Happens sometimes-"

"I am sorry, I didn't mean to make you feel ignored. If I knew the call was important, I would have never-"

"Well, I am not mad, I was never, okay?" When Chan nods as his father's words, Wonwoo stares at him feeling baffled.

If it was his father, he would have made a big issue out of this already.

"You are my child Wonwoo, and not like when I would have been back, you would have been gone or something," He would have, definitely, so when his father smiles at him for the last time before walking way, Wonwoo stands there, frozen, comprehending what he had heard.

And in between all these, what he didn't expect was Mingyu to drag him behind when everybody eventually left. When Wonwoo looks up at him after he was cornered up, back pressed up against the wall while arms gripped by Mingyu's fingers, he couldn't help but grind his teeth in annoyance, "What the fuck is wrong with you now?!"
