Autumn laid awake next to the brunette. Her finger instinctively caressing her lips as she thought of her night out with Vivian. She looked down at Marjorie the smile on her face turning to a grimace. What have you gotten yourself into Autumn? She chastised herself for not realising sooner. Glancing over at the brunette she chuckled. She had fallen asleep with the book across her chest and her glasses still on. Somehow in her slumber she knocked her glasses off of her nose and they hung crookedly on her face. She chuckled as she moved both to the bedside table before leaning herself back against the headboard to think.
Marjorie woke up to Autumn in her usual tangled up position. She had no idea when she got in or how her night was. She didn't even really remember falling asleep. She had had two...or was it three glasses of wine? She shook her head. It didn't matter. She looked around for her glasses but was unsure where they had gone. As she felt around for them trying to be careful not to wake Autumn, she chuckled at the look on the brunette's face. She was smiling in her sleep. Marjorie hoped that meant she had had a good time on her date the night before. Spotting her glasses on the bedside table on Autumn's side, she carefully extracted herself, retrieved the glasses and made her way downstairs. They had both taken the day off, so she could just have a lazy Friday morning. She made some toast and coffee before retreating to the lounge with her breakfast and book.
Autumn woke and groaned when she realised that she was alone in their bed. She looked to the bedside table and saw the glasses and book were missing before hoisting herself from the bed and padding her way down the stairs. She could hear Marjorie in the lounge telling off a character in her book as she made her way to the kitchen for coffee. As she returned, she chuckled to herself still listening to the brunette ramble on to her book. "Sunshine, are they giving you trouble?" The brunette jumped having been so preoccupied by her book that she hadn't heard her come down. "Good morning beautiful how was your evening?"
Marjorie listened intently as Autumn told her about her date the night before. "It sounds like you and Viv had a lovely time together, but my love why do you look so worried?' Autumn turned her gaze downward. "Marjorie, I realised something last night, and I am honestly a little scared to tell you." The brunette shifted her body to look into the brilliant green eyes that had become her home these last months. The fear in her own must have been apparent. "My love, what is it? Autumn, have you changed your mind? Because you know I don't have my place anymore." The tears filled her deep blue eyes. "I would need some time to..." Autumn placed a finger over the brunette's lip. "Sunshine, what are you talking about? I am in love with you. I love you. Why would you need to go anywhere?" She pulled her in and placed a tender kiss on her lips.
"It's me. I am nervous about your date with Siobhan. Marjorie, the thing with Winter was always set around the fact that I didn't share. I don't share, but now I have agreed to, and I would be lying if I said that wasn't concerning to me. What if my jealousy gets the better of me? What if you decide you only want her and you want to leave me? What if..." Marjorie's heart broke for her as she stammered over her words and began to cry. "My love we can work on your jealousy by being honest with one another, but I am not going anywhere. I love you, Autumn. I care for Siobhan and yes, I may be falling in love with her as well, but I wouldn't even entertain those feelings if I thought for one minute that you didn't mean it when you said we would still be us. We will still be us beautiful."
Autumn pulled her onto her own lap. "I don't know what I ever did to deserve you. I promise if I am feeling insecure or jealous I will talk to you. I should have done last night. I was feeling insecure, but I pushed it out of my mind. I should have just said." She looked down at the floor, but Marjorie lifted her chin to look into her eyes. "My love, you have said now. That is what is important. Autumn no matter what else happens, it is you and me."
"Always."
