Lady In Red

Marjorie sat at her computer researching where she could take Siobhan on their first date. After looking at the reviews of several restaurants, she decided on a familiar setting for both her and her sweetheart. Pulling her phone from her pocket she quickly tapped out a message to Siobhan. "Dinner tonight? The Greek restaurant we went to before. I'll pick you up at 7pm." Before placing her phone on the desk, Marjorie continued looking for other places they could go on their date. Finally, Marjorie settled on a walk along the beach, followed by a romantic sunset picnic, Marjorie opted to keep that part of the date a surprise for the blonde.

As 5pm approached, Marjorie rushed to pack her things away, hastily she grabbed her car keys and dashed out of the building to her car. Butterflies started to erupt in her stomach as she drove home. Marjorie pulled into the driveway. She hastily got out dropping her keys in the process. "Marjorie you pillock!" Picking up her keys and locking the Peugeot, Marjorie dashed into the house clumsily stumbling on the front step as she reached the door. As she opened the door, her excitement took over. "Beautiful, I'm home" she shouted through to Autumn as she ascended the stairs two at a time up to their bedroom. Marjorie undressed before heading to the bathroom for a shower. As the water washed over her body, Marjorie's mind drifted to Siobhan and their up coming date. I hope she likes what I have planned. Her mind continued to race with things she would need to gather for her surprise. Marjorie dried and dressed in a figure-hugging black dress. As Marjorie sat at her vanity applying her make up, she felt two arms snake around her neck. "You okay sunshine?" Marjorie relaxed into her embrace. "I'm okay beautiful. I have a few things I need to gather for tonight." Marjorie turned around to face Autumn. The brunette crouched down to meet her eye level. Each woman sensed the other's anxiety and nerves creeping in. Marjorie took Autumns hand in hers bringing it up to her lips she placed a tender kiss just above the knuckles. "Remember beautiful me and you above everything else." The brunette looked back into her eyes repeating her words. "Me and you above everything else." Autumn cupped Marjorie's face with her free hand placing a gentle kiss on her lips both women whispered just audible for the other to hear.

Marjorie headed down to the kitchen gathering the items she would need for their sunset picnic:

Blankets

Wine

A selection of cheeses

Strawberries

Chocolate

Marjorie stood tapping her finger to her lips. There was something else she needed, but what was it?

"Ah ha!"

Marjorie had everything she needed and was ready to leave when Autumn appeared in the kitchen doorway. "Have you got everything you need sunshine?" Marjorie looked up at the brunette as she placed the last item in the basket. "I have beautiful." As Marjorie headed towards the door, her eyes met Autumn's once more. Stopping in her tracks taking in the sight in front of her, Marjorie noticed something different in her eyes. Although she was going on a date with Siobhan. Their first date. Marjorie knew she would be returning to her beautiful. Her person. Most importantly, her home. Her Autumn.

Autumn escorted Marjorie out to her car. After Marjorie had secured the basket out of sight in her boot, she began to feel the familiar fluttering in her stomach. Pushing the feeling aside, Marjorie walked around to her door where Autumn stood waiting with the driver's door open and ready. Marjorie pulled Autumn in by the waist and into a kiss before climbing into her car and rolling down the window. "See you in a few hours beautiful." As she reversed the Peugeot out of the driveway, Autumn shouted "Have a wonderful time sunshine. See you in a few hours." Autumn blew a kiss and waved. Turning back toward the house, she headed inside to settle in front of the television for a movie night.
