Two weeks later

Vivian laughed as she held the door open for Siobhan to walk into the pub. The four had seen each other individually from time to time over the last couple of weeks but hadn't all been together since the night of the ball. Siobhan was a bit nervous about spending time with Autumn. She had helped get Viv to her that night, but they had never really socialised.

As they entered, Viv scanned the pub and found Marjorie right away. She couldn't miss that boisterous laugh. She grabbed Bon's hand and led her through the crowd to get to the table. "Hiya, you two alright?" Autumn automatically rose which shocked Siobhan while Viv and Marjorie both just smiled at her. It was so ingrained in her she couldn't help but do it.

As they all settled into their seats a silence fell over them. Marjorie was the first to speak. "Siobhan, you look lovely tonight. I don't think I have ever seen you like this. That emerald top really makes your..." she allowed her eyes to scan up and down the blonde's body. She was wearing an emerald, green button-down over a snug fitting black camisole and black jeans. "Your um ... makes your outfit really pop."

Autumn and Viv gave each other a knowing look. "How are you, babe?" Autumn smiled at the pet name. She had wondered whether Vivian would continue to use it. A warmth spread in her chest. "I am okay, Vi." The raven-haired woman smiled back at her. "I know these last few weeks couldn't have been easy with all the ... well with Roger."

The mention of his name caused all three women to look at her. "Sorry, I just meant..." Autumn cut her off. "Don't apologise. It has been fine. Reece and I have opted for direct cremation and for his ashes to be sent to a private plot. We wanted nothing to do with them. Imagine my surprise when we still received a box of ashes a few days ago."

A look of confusion crossed Siobhan and Vivian's face while Marjorie looked sheepishly down at the table. "What? I know she was horrible. Hell, she was probably more horrible to me than anyone else. I just couldn't see her body going unclaimed. I mean ..." She looked up and saw Siobhan's eyes. Her ocean blue eyes were filling with tears. "Siobhan you alright?" She reached across the table and grabbed the blonde's free hand.

"I am alright. It is just sad. Isn't it. That woman had no one to love her. No one who cared. Only Roger. Fucking Roger." The tears fell and Marjorie instinctively wiped them from her soft warm cheeks. A glance past between Autumn and Viv again, but both smiled as their eyes met.

Their minds wandered as they got lost in each other's eyes. Autumn had never noticed how brilliant Viv's grey eyes were. How they perfectly complemented her raven hair. Vivian was lost in her green eyes as if her brain was trying to memorise where each fleck of blue was.

Marjorie chuckled as Siobhan spoke. "Earth to Vivian??" She shook her head and the thoughts from it. "The waitress is waiting for us to order." She looked up. It was the first time she noticed the woman standing there. "Oh. Umm whiskey for me. Sorry about that." Laughter spread around the table as they each made their order.

They all spoke animatedly as they drank several rounds with only Marjorie showing any real signs of being intoxicated. Her hands were everywhere. If she wasn't touching Autumn, she was touching Siobhan. "I have to wee." Both Autumn and Siobhan rose as the brunette stood causing her to chuckle.

Autumn was concerned she might injure herself. "One of us should go with her." Before she moved to do that, Siobhan was already holding her hand out to Marjorie. "Come on, princess." Marjorie chuckled and took her hand. "Okay, sweetheart." Siobhan's eyes widened as she walked away with Marjorie.

As Siobhan waited outside the stall she paced back and forth listening to Marjorie hum to herself. "Why did you call me princess?" The blonde's eyes went wide again. "I don't know. I just ..." She was cut off by Marjorie reappearing. She watched her, as she washed her hands, swaying back and forth to the music that was playing in the pub. Her eyes eventually landing on her hips.

"Marjorie why did you call me sweetheart?" The brunette spun around so fast she nearly lost her balance causing Siobhan to instinctively reach to steady her. Her hands landing on her hips. As she looked up their eyes met. "Hmm your eyes. They're ... beautiful. I never..." Before she could finish Marjorie captured her mouth in a soft, but sensual kiss. As the heat rose in her body, she laced her fingers through the brunette's hair.

Marjorie pulled away and clasped her hands over her mouth. "I'm with Autumn. I would never... I'm sorry." The blonde pace the bathroom. I'm in love with Vivian, Marjorie. Why ... why would we do that?" The brunette pulled her into a hug. "I don't know. I am drunk. I ... I am sorry. Let's just go back out there and forget it ever happened. I am drunk, sweetheart. I am sure it's just that."

Meanwhile

As they watched Marjorie and Siobhan walking away, they both chuckled. "Babe Marjorie is hammered." The brunette smiled. "Wait you have a ..." She reached in and wiped the brunette's face with her thumb. As she did their eyes met again. "Your eyes are beautiful, Autie. They ..." Before she could say more Autumn bridged the gap between them, laced her fingers into Viv's raven hair and pulled her into a soft, but sensual kiss. The heat rose in Viv, and she pulled the brunette closer.

They both pulled away but were left a little dazed. "Viv, I ... I am sorry. I ... I don't know what came over me. I ..." They were interrupted when a very quiet and somber Siobhan returned to the table followed by Marjorie. It only took the four a few moments to realise what had happened while they were separated. They fell into silence.

Autumn broke the silence but spoke in a way only Marjorie was used to hearing. Soft and melodious instead of deadpan and monotone. "I think we should all talk about this in a few days after we have had a chance to speak to our... primary partner." Marjorie looked up as her thoughts overwhelmed her. She wasn't angry. She didn't appear upset, and what the hell was a primary partner?
