Two Months Later

The halls were empty, and all the staff had gone home already. Autumn and Marjorie were alone in the office when she heard the familiar voice from the doorway. You alright Marjorie? They had just been packing up the last of their things to head out. "Hi my love. I am ready to go home to my book and a bubble bath. What are you two up to tonight?" Vivian smirked. "Dinner and maybe some mischief."  The brunette threw her bag over her shoulder and walked toward the door. "You okay to lock up beautiful?" Autumn looked up from her desk with a smile. "Yes, sunshine. Go enjoy your book. I love you."  The brunette slipped past Viv and shouted back. "I love you too. Have fun tonight. Call me if you need bailing out. I know where your checkbook is."

"You alright, babe?" The brunette looked up again. "Yes, I am almost ready to go. What restaurant are we going to?" Vivian moved her way around the office until she was stood right next to the brunette. They sat talking animatedly about their day while they waited for their food to arrive. Autumn had decided to try the espresso martini Siobhan had said was transcendent. After the plate switch, they ended up sharing everything on the table anyway before paying and setting off.

Vivian weaved in and out of traffic as she made her way toward the countryside. "Vi where are we going? We both have to work tomorrow. We..." She stopped when Vivian pulled off the main road and onto a dirt road. "Lookout point? Someone is awfully sure of themselves." She raised an eyebrow. "We have been going for the full high school experience, have we not? I am sure you knew plenty of kids who came up here." She placed her hand on the brunette's thigh and shot her a mischievous grin. "Yeah, Vi, kids come up here. We are going to get done for public indecency." The dark-haired woman laughed. "Babe no one is gonna be up her on a Tuesday night. I promise if we see anyone else, we will leave." The brunette looked at her unsure but smiled. "Okay."

As they pulled in, they were mesmerised by how bright the stars were from up here. "The stars are amazing from up here. I can't believe how clear the sky is. Come on I have an idea." They both got out and Vivian followed Autumn's lead and laid back on the hood of the car. "When I was a kid, Reece used to take Mia and I to various places with his telescope and he would tell us all about the constellations and the stars. He knows all sorts about this stuff. That one right there is Orion. It really is the only one I can ever remember." Vivian watched as the brunette reminisced and noticed a small shiver. She wrapped her own coat around her and pulled her in close, causing that same flush of heat to rise in her. She rolled to her side causing the brunette to look in her direction.
