I haven't written in a WHILE, but I know you all wanted more so here it is! Bear with me, I forgot where I left off...

Ellery's pov:

Teleporting definitely causes more problems than it solves, that's for sure.
At least in my opinion anyways.

"And you have to be careful where you teleport to-" my mom was going on and on about what I have to do to stay safe... and it was starting to get annoying.

"Ellery Foster!" My dad shouted, "Are you even listening?"

I signed, "Yeah I am."

My parents are both pretty mad at me for getting myself kidnapped...
I wonder why?
Hehe.

"What did I just say then?" My dad asked me with an eyebrow raised.

"Something about not getting into trouble anymore?" I vaguely answered.

My parents kept rambling on.
I guess they got over the 'I'm so glad you're safe faze.' Last week when I first came back to the Lost Cities.
It's been a pretty boring week, not a lot happened.

"Wait a minute..." I interrupted my dad who was in the middle of another speech, "What ever happened to Ryla?"

My dad went silent. "I'm not sure, she flew away like 12 chapters ago and never came back... almost like the author forgot about her..."

Totally didn't happen...🫢

"Do you think she'll come back?" I asked him.

Sure I didn't like Ryla, but I was curious about where she went...

"I don't know Ellery." He replied.

After a few minutes the craziest thing happened.
You'll never even believe it.
The door bell ringed.
I answered it.
And Ryla Hctiw was standing in the doorway.

"Where did you go?!" I shouted at her, earning the attention of my parents.

"I've been around." She shrugged, "I'll be at my cauldron if you need me."

And with that lovely note she went upstairs.

I stared at my parents with wide eyes, wondering what they were thinking about her sudden return.

My dad shrugged and sat on the couch.

"Aren't you gonna punish her?" I asked.

I got grounded for pretty much my entire life when I first came back home.

"She's not our kid." My mom laughed.

I scowled at her.

"Why don't you go talk to her." My dad suggested, "Have some girl time or something."

That was the last thing I wanted to do, but I don't think I had much of a choice. So I went upstairs to the room with a cauldron.

Ryla smirked, "Oh yay, you again." She sarcastically said, throwing random stuff into her cauldron. She wasn't even looking at the labels.

I rolled my eyes and sat in a beanbag chair. This was gonna be a long day.

Yay! I updated. It's a Christmas Eve-Eve miracle!
