"Are you feeling better?" Andrew asked sitting beside me on a gurney. "I'm fine, they're just a lot sometimes" I shrugged looking down at the floor.

"I don't mean them, I mean you. How do you feel M?" Andrew drew my eyes back to him. I may be my mother's only daughter but Andrew had been an older brother to me since I met him.

"I just feel so lost at what to do. Because none of this is my fault. There is literally no one to blame. Yet still he looks at me like I took something from him and I kind of did" I sighed.

"I know how you feel, trust me. When I found out same was working here it was like I couldn't breathe, I've been avoiding her for so long and now she's here. Can't forget what we went through together.

But now I've found support in other people and Carina has been helping. I know you have your people Morgy so hold them close, you'll need them" he smiled lightly.

"Now what's your plan to stay safe once you leave?" he asked cautiously. Andrew knew a lot more about me than I had let on.

He knew about my addictions and my mental health. He carried it with him like it was his own burden so I could forget for a while.

"April is taking me with her because my mom doesn't get off for a long time then I'll probably hang out with Mer once I get back to my house" I explained.

"Okay that all sounds good," he nodded "but you can always text or call me and I promise I'll be there for you. I would rather stay up all night than have something happed to you, you're like my baby sister."

"I know I promise I won't do anything stupid, I love you Andrew" I hugged him. "I love you too Moe, I'll always be there" he hugged me back.

"Hey you!" a girl shouted, not thinking she was talking to me I kept walking. "Stop walking" I turned around just to check. "Yes you, come here" she was definitely talking to me.

"Can I help you?" I wondered now confused walking into her room. "Yes, do you know the wifi password?" she asked.

The girl seemed to be about my age and I recognized my mom's handwriting on the chart sprawled out next to her bed.

"Are you even supposed to be on your phone?" I crossed my arms presuming she had just some sort of neuro procedure.

"Well who are you to tell me what I can and can't do, besides I'll be dead soon anyways" the blonde girl huffed.

"Your Dr. Shepherds patient right?" I asked getting closer. "Yeah, does that change your answer?" the girl smirked.

"Nope but it does tell me who you are" I laughed, "Lindsey Higgens, 16 year old female, Li-Fraumini syndrome, an I right?" I asked.

"Spot on, but that's actually so creepy. Do you like live in the floor boards here or something?" she joked.

"Nope even worse, Dr. Shepherd's my mom" I revealed. "Oh so you're that kid she's always talking about!" Lindsey grinned.

"I guess I am" I chuckled. "Don't you have school right now?" she wondered looking at the time. "I did but then I left" I shrugged.

"Why?" she pried. "Well that's a long stor-" I began. "Lindsey, what did I tell you?" My mom crossed her arms stepping into the room.

"To stay off my phone" she sighed sitting it down. "M what are you doing here, I thought you were going home with April?" Mom questioned.

"I am, but she was finishing her last patient" I explained. "Okay, well I shouldn't be home till late, Mer has you once she gets off. I love you" she kissed my forehead.

"Hey, you better be back soon for that story" Lindsey stated. "You can count on it" I agreed. "It was nice to meet you creepy girl" she added laughing. "Likewise"
