Hours later I was still in the ICU, where I would stay the next 12 hours and then be moved to a room on the main PEDS floor if all remains stable.

Jakob had come to visit of course, but most importantly I got to see Will and his dad. "You raised a good one" his dad nudged Mom as I sat by Will's bed side waiting for his to wake up.

"I owe everything to yours, you raised a good one" Mom smiled watching the two of us. "Well I guess this is just me paying you pack for saving me" he winked. You would have had to be blind not to see the tension between the pair.

I sat bedside holding his hand for almost an hour until I felt him squeeze it. "Will?" I questioned. "Welcome back Princess" he smirked after opening his eyes.

"Oh my gosh I was so scared!" I exclaimed. "So was I" he nodded tightening his grip. "I missed you" I smiled. "I missed you too, promise not to do anything like this again?" he asked. "I promise" I agreed, a happy tear running down my cheek.

-------

"How are you feeling today?" Arizona came in on rounds. "Really good actually, where's Andrew?" I questioned. "He said he would in soon, and to make sure you know he didn't forget about you" Bailey smiled joining from the hallway.

"Good," I grinned "well what about Lindsey, does she know?" I questioned. Arizona paused. "She does, she can come to visit during her own rounds. the hope is if you stay stable all the way through day and night today you can join her" she explained.

"Wait like roommates?" I wondered. Arizona nodded, "That's the hope, yes." Maybe this hospital trip won't be so bad. I mean yeah I got shot but I'm in good company.

-------

"I made it!" Andrew exclaimed rushing to my room. "Wow you really broke a sweat" I observed looking at the out of breath man. "I didn't want you to feel alone, I know it's hard" he tried to smile sitting beside my bed.

"I just feel like I should feel lucky, I mean I survived a gunman, I should feel lucky. A lot of us didn't make it" I looked down.

"Some days the guilts just hard" Mer sympathized revealing herself in the door way. I had forgotten all about the tragedy that happened here just a few years before Mom and I had moved to Seattle.

"Like I should be grateful but all I was thinking about was how much I need Will in my life and he had gone ghost to me and then he almost actually died, and now he's not dead and he's back in my life-" I rambled.

"Take a breath, God woke you up for a reason. He's not done with you yet. You will find an answer" Andrew took a deep breath with me. "And if you ever need boy advice I'm right here" Mer winked.

"Thanks guys" I pulled them both in for a hug. "This hospital wouldn't be the same without you" Andrew remarked. "This world wouldn't be the same without you!" Mer added.

-------

"Oh my gosh I thought I was going to lose you!" Lindsey ran in. "I could never leave you!" I hugged her tight. "Did you hear the news, We're going to be roomies!" she exclaimed.

"Well that's if I get better" I smiled. "You'll get better" she paused, "you have to." But nothing had to happen, nothing was guaranteed.

-------

Finally I'd made it to my first evening rounds, the ones that could get me out of the PICU. "Wow I must say you have had a great recovery little Shep" Arizona smiled. "So I can go up to the real floor?" I asked. "Yes, you can" Andrew announced.

"Mommy did you hear that?" I asked hugging my mom. "Congratulations Moe" Mom wiped her happy tears. I was out of the woods, we were going to make it.
