THE BRUNETTE PRESSED THE ACCEPT button on her computer and saw the confirmation message on the screen for booking the Airbnb for her family. They would fly to Iowa tomorrow early morning, and the game starts at six PM, so they have a lot of time to spend together as a family.
The girls had just done the dishes after their Valentine's dinner, the dorm was all cleaned and empty; Gabbie and Spencer celebrated outside at a restaurant, and all their friends who have a partner went to celebrate today. Then there's Caitlin on the couch who just got there because she was feeling miserable since she couldn't spend Valentine's Day with Brooklyn.
"Ughhhhh!" the brunette groaned from the sofa. "Can everyone please stop posting about their partners for today?" she said, bringing her hands to her face; she was missing the older Coss. Brooklyn had returned to New York for work after a couple of weeks in Iowa.
Sterling closed her computer and looked at Caitlin. "Why are you complaining? You should have gotten on a plane to New York to see Brooke!" Sterling said, which made Caitlin turn around to face them.
"We had practice today; I can't be in two places at the same time!" Caitlin said, frowning at Sterling and throwing a pillow at her. Kate caught the pillow and threw it back onto the couch.
"Did you at least get her anything?" Caitlin looked at her girlfriend's sister with a serious expression on her face.
Clark rolled her eyes at her. "Of course, I got her something; what kind of girlfriend do you think I am?" Sterling and Kate started laughing at Caitlin's expression.
They already knew what Caitlin got Brooklyn because she had told them earlier that day. They just liked to mess around with Caitlin. A sound of keys unlocking the door made the three girls look up. It was Gabbie and Spencer, who had just returned from their Valentine's dinner.
"Ow! Are we having a sleepover?" Gabbie said when she spotted Caitlin on the couch. Sterling got up from her chair and looked at her roommate. "Yeah, but only us; there's no space for Caitlin," Kate, Spencer, and Gabbie laughed.
"Oh my god, you are so funny," Clark said sarcastically and started to laugh with them, too.
After a couple of minutes discussing various topics that came up in conversation, it was time to go to bed, as the three basketball players had an important game to play the next day.
Caitlin got up from the couch and began to walk toward the door when she said goodbye to her friends, until Sterling stopped her to open the door.
"Wait! Are your parents coming tomorrow?" she asked the tall brunette. She nodded in response. "Well, I guess tomorrow is when our families meet."
"I think we're going to have dinner after the game, right?" Kate walked over to the girls and wrapped her right arm around her girlfriend's shoulder, and Sterling nodded.
"I've already planned everything; just please dress nicely," Sterling said, once again teasing her.
Clark rolled her eyes one more time at Coss and opened the door to leave. "I hate you!" she shouted while walking down the hallway of the building.
The two girls laughed and closed the dorm door. Then they headed straight to bed, as both of them had busy days ahead. Kate on the court, and Sterling in the hospital.
