"I don't think he's coming." Taehyun said over the phone to Yeonjun. "Hueningkai said he's been avoiding everyone so I don't think he'll come. You can relax."

"...the funny thing is, I don't know if I even want to see him. What would I even say...doesn't matter now. Anyways, enough about Beomgyu today is your big day. Go get ready for your party, I'll see you at 6."

"Thanks man, see you soon." They hung up and Yeonjun sighed as he put the phone down on his bed. He heard a gentle knock at his door.

"Come in!"

The door slowly opened and it was his grandma.

"Hey, sorry I'm late to breakfast." He went to stand up but his grandma shook her head.

"Sit. It's okay." She joined him on the bed. "So Taehyun's party...is he gonna be there?" Yeonjun silently shook his head. "I need you to understand something. You...hurt his feelings you understand that, but at some point you have to act instead playing the waiting game that you've been playing for a year. I think you should go see him after the party."

"He hates me grandma. He wants nothing to do with me."

"You will never move on without closure. This will hunt you and effect every relationship after him. Before your grandfather...I was in love with someone else before." She took a deep breath. "A...a woman."

Yeonjun looked at her a little shocked. Was he hearing her right.

She let out a little laugh. "Yeah, yeah I know. Your grandma came from a time where that was not allowed at all, but my feelings were real even if society didn't want to acknowledge it. We would sneak out, do anything we could to be together but we knew it was only for a little while because we were both arranged to be married. The day she left to go be with her husband we met at a park. Told me she loved me and that in a different lifetime she would've loved to...grow old with me. She died of a stroke about 6 years ago." She looked at Yeonjun who had tears running down his face. "Why are you crying?" She exclaimed.

"Because that's sad!" He yelled back.

His grandma laughed and held his hand. "You have to sacrifice a lot to be with the person you want. You have to be brave, courageous, scared, and a little crazy but it's worth it to know love. Trust me, don't regret this." She kissed his hand. "Come eat, you need your strength."

Yeonjun wiped his face and followed her out. They ate together and he stayed in his room for the majority of the day until it was time for him to get ready for the party. He slicked his hair back, put on a nice black button up and black slacks. Put on some cologne and walked over to his dresser and look out the watch that Beomgyu got him for his birthday last year. He stared at it, he hadn't worn it since the break up.

He put it on and walked out to go to the party. He hosted his party at the same place where Beomgyu left him. He didn't realize it. He stood outside staring at the door, the memories came flooding back of that night and his heart started racing. He leaned back against his car and tried to catch his breath.

"Yeonjun?"

He looked over and it was...

"Yeji?"

She said something to Ryujin who was walking up next to her and the girl nodded and left her side to go into the building. Yeonjun watched her slowly walk over to him.

"...it's been a while." He didn't say anything. "You're angry."

"Do you blame me?"

"Not at all." She looked away from him. "You deserve an apology. It wasn't my place to meddle but back then I was angry at you for leaving me for some guy."

"He wasn't some guy Yeji." He started to raise his voice. "I would've told him!"

She shook her head. "No...no you wouldn't have. Because I know you and you were always selfish because you were used to getting what you wanted." He didn't say anything. "I met with him a few months after it happened and apologized but he thanked me for telling him. Whether by intentions were good or not didn't matter to him but I still felt terrible. I still do...I want you to be happy Yeonjun."

"It's too late for that. If you said what you needed to say, I'm done here." He went up the stairs and inside, he walked down that dreadful hall and the air felt as heavy as it did that day. He entered the party and it was quite the event. Everyone was happy and of course he was too. He sat his gift on the gift table and a server offered him a drink but he refused. He stood off in a corner somewhere staring down at his watch.

He needed to be here for his friend. He wanted to be but he was feeling nauseous all of a sudden and needed air. As he made his way to the balcony everyone started to clap and cheer, he turned to see Taehyun walking in with Hueningkai by his side holding his arm. He watched the two of them, Hueningkai looked a little different. Fit, yet still very adorable.

Taehyun got a mic and started talking.

"Thank you all for being here. In this room are all the people who have changed my life and supported me every step of the way. I am who I am because of you. This is another big stepping stone and I'm glad I get to celebrate one of the biggest accomplishments in my life with everyone here. Now, we will get to the speeches a little later but for now please eat, drink, dance, and have a good time."

Everyone clapped again and Yeonjun finally smiled for the first since he had been there. He watched Taehyun talking to some people and he decided to speak to him later but he needed a smoke. He reached in his pocket searching for a cigarette as he made his way outside. He finally dug one out and as he pushed the door open he bumped into someone and dropped his cigarette and lighter.

"Shit I'm sorry."

"It's alright."

He looked up and his heart stopped before it seemed to jump into his throat. The young man also locked eyes with him, their expressions mirroring each other. Pure shock.

They didn't say anything for several moments.

"...hi Yeonjun."

And all he could manage to get out was a breathless and pathetic...

"Beomgyu."
