Ava woke up before Q that next morning and went to go make him breakfast. She made his favorite, blueberry pancakes, eggs, sausage links and bacon. She could cook her butt of which she'd learned from her mother. She always told her the way to a man's heart was his stomach. As far as Ava was concerned, it worked, it had gotten her this far. When she fed and put it down it was like a nigga turned obsessed over her. She fixed his plate and made him a tall glass of orange juice. Just as she was turning the isle off, she felt a strong pair of arms around her. She knew his scent from anywhere. "Mm-," she moaned loving the feel of his strong arms. "It smell good- what you doing in here?" His deep morning voice said. "I was just making your plate," she said sweetly. "You spoiling the shit outta a nigga," he said. "What I do to deserve this?" He asked. "Boy- bye, I know your used to waking up and two butt naked hoes holding you're plates over in Cali," she said. He chuckled. "But I ain't fuckin them doe," he promised. "Yeah okay," she said. "For real ma, besides, I would rather wake up to this every morning than how I usually do," he said kissing her temple, caressing her waist. She turned and eyed him. He was so damn handsome, especially in the morning. His eyes would be chinky but his green eyes seem to shine. She never took a moment to realize how lucky she had it until he almost left her. Here this billionare of a man, who owned a whole empire, could have any woman he wanted, but he chose her. "Baby," she said. "Wassup," he asked staring at her with love in his eyes. "Why me?" She asked curiously. "Why did you choose me? I mean I know I'm pretty and fun and smart and all that, but I'm so stubborn and grouchy and-," she started as he cupped her face gently in his hands. "Broken," he said. She eyes him sadly. "But your my stubborn, grouchy, broken Queen, I fell in love with you through all of that because I see me in you, you're my other half, we're both not perfect, I help you with your disobedience, your spoiled ways- your tardiness for everything, you help me with-," he started. "How I help you baby?" She smiled wrapping her arms around his neck. "You help me with my anger- with my uncleanliness, definitely-," "Definitely," she giggled with him. "And you always brighten my day, with just one smile, that smile is just everything, it's lets me know- I'm still here, everything's gonna be alright," he said gently, stroking her cheek. She was touched. "You're the best man any woman could have Q, seriously," she said, staring in his eyes. He smiled at her then pulled her even closer, kissing her deeply. She pulled away, and stared at him a little longer. They both grabbed their plates shortly after and spent breakfast together. She went and got dressed before class. She put pearls in her ears with her underclothes still on after she'd showered. Q was tying his loafers. Ava peeked over her shoulder at him and bit her lip. He wore his gray and black Tom Ford suit. He look like a GQ model. She turned and finish doing what she were doing though she wanted to suck the skin off of him. She pushed them thoughts away, and finished getting ready. She applied a little make up. She stood back and stared in her own face, she looked beautiful as always. She then went in the closet to put on some clothes. "Babe- I'll be back a week, unless you wanna visit me, just let me know by Friday," he said peeking inside her to walk in closet. "Wait, what? I thought you were just going to a meeting! You're leaving?!" She exclaimed. "Yeah boo, you know this," he said. She then pouted. "No- baby, you can't go," she whimpered making her way over to him. "Don't do this to me Ma, you always do this, every time, before I go. You knew I was leaving today, and right now I gotta be on my way in like a hour," he said. "Save it for someone who doesn't know it's your jet. You can fly whenever you want to," she said unloosing his tie. He smirked then eyed her hazel eyes as she pushed him back toward the bed. "What you doing girl?" He asked. "I know you don't think you're about to leave without giving me my monster," she said, pushing him onto the bed. She unzipped his pants and straddled him. "What about class?" He asked. She ignored him and unbuttoned his shirt, revealing his nice cut abs. "Mmm- don't scream alright Daddy?" She moaned biting her lip. He smirked knowing how hardcore they got it on whenever he was leaving and today was about to be some real hardcore love making. They spent the next two hours making love, hardcore, baby making, same positions, new positions, they had erupted so many times they'd lost count. All they knew was, no one knew their bodies like each other had, it's why they erupted so hard. "Baby," she panted still laying on his chest. "Yeah?" He panted as well. "We gotta stop doing it like that before we make a baby," she warned. "You on birth control still right?" He asked. "No baby, I stopped taking them two years ago, remember I started gaining weight? Ain't doing that shit no more," she warned. "Yeah- I don't know about all that but I would love it if you gave me my first child, it'll be a dream come true-," he started. "Here you go," she groaned rolling over to her back. "I know you not ready for a baby right now and all that but I do want you to have mines one day," he said, pulling her close with one pull. "Why do you always gotta make it so official? we're having fun babe, and I'm only 23-," she started. "Almost 24, when you gonna grow up and settle down?" He asked. "I have grown up, relationships and things in that nature is just shit I'm not ready for," she admitted. "I gave my heart to one man already," she said softly. He groaned and climbed out of bed and went into the bathroom. He closed the door and took himself a shower. Ava scoffed. He was being a asshole again. She climbed out of bed and followed him. She went and got in the shower behind him. They were quiet, washing their bodies. He turned to look at her. She eyed him back. He just stared at her. "What?" She asked. "One day- if I'm not here anymore. I pray you never go through what I went through dealing with you. I wouldn't wish these types of mind games and feelings on my worst enemy," he said. She sighed deeply. She knew Q just loved her way too much. She was his first love, while hers had died already. "I'm still paying for his death and I never even knew the man, type of shit is that?" He asked. She eyes him teary eyed. "You knew that shit from jump, this isn't all me. You blame everything on me!" She yelled at him in tears. "I don't," he said. "You do too!" "I don't! I blame myself for falling so deeply in love with you that I can't even go a few hours without thinking about you after these long 5 years," he complained. "I was there through everything and I still get the shitty end of the stick, but it's cool Ava," he said calmly. "What's that supposed to mean "it's cool"? You ready to end this? Or fuck some bitch over in Cali?" She asked mushing his head. "Don't touch me," he warned. "I'll do what I want, you asshole, if you ever think about fuckin another bitch I'm killing both of yall before yall even get to put action behind your thoughts," she growled at him. "And who the fuck are you to do that? We ain't together right? I'm just your friend with benefits remember?" He snarled before getting out the shower. She turned off the shower and followed. "Play with me if you want to Q," she hissed. He was drying off. He gave her the silent treatment. "Q," she said. "Q," she repeated. "Quincy I know you hear me," she hissed. She then rolled her eyes and went into her closet. She pulled on her white deep v neck cut Chanel jumper. She added white Red Bottom heels. She wanted to call Brandon over to do her hair and makeup but she was late anyway. She decided to straighten her hair, afterward, she coated on make up, her technique, flawless. She step back and eyed herself. She looked fabulous as always. She added a gold Versace watch and grabbed her purse stepping around Quincy who was tying his loafers. He'd changed into a whole new suit. He didn't pick up behind himself all the time but when it came to his hygiene, suits and appearance he made sure everything was perfect. Ava even tried to ignore the sexy man in his black and red Armani suit. She looked in the mirror and pulled out her phone. She took a picture at her final appearance. She immediately liked the first two photos, she was extremely photogenic. "Babe," she finally said. This could go on all day since they were both stubborn. He didn't say anything but he looked over at her. "Take a picture with me Daddy, please?" She asked sweetly. He obeyed quietly. She took their mirror picture. She reviewed it and loved it, immediately. She posted it on Instagram to her 100K followers, with a caption that said. Nobody's business but mine & my baby's. Q went back to grabbing his stuff. "Tell me what's bothering you Daddy," she said softly, eying him. He ignored her. "Q," she said again. He finally looked over at her. "Please?" She asked softly. He grabbed his phone and headed to the door. Not before he peered over his shoulder. "You still not ready and I'm wasting my time," he said. "So that's it? We're done over something we've been doing for years?" She scoffed. "What is up with you Q? Why you pressuring me?!? You know how I am when I'm not pressured!" She exclaimed. "IM TIRED AVA!" He barked scaring her. He took a deep breath and turned and looked at her. "I'm tired of waiting. I'm done with the games- and yeah I know how you are when you feel pressured, you lie! So answer me this, do you really love me? Or did you lie so I could stay?" He asked. She stammered and stuttered. He shook his head. "I'm done," he said before storming out, she ran after him, he was fast, and she was in heels. "Baby," she called after him. The elevator to go down to the lobby has already closed, she took the other one. She tapped her feet at the slow elevator. "Come on, come on," she sang. It finally opened she looked around the lobby and spotted Q leaving out the doors. She followed. "Q," she called after him. She followed him all the way to the outside parking lot and reached his car door miraculously before he did. "Baby," she panted. "Move Ava," he growled low. "Hear me out, please?" She asked. "I'm done," he growled at her. "No-," she shook her head. "I am done, Ava! Get outta my fuckin way!!" He barked. "If you leave me I hate you!!" She yelled. He pushed her out the way and opened his car door and closed it. She was about to retaliate and punch him but instead she picked up a brick. He started his car up and she threw it with much force at his windshield, it went straight through. He turned his ignition off and hopped out the car, pissed. "Your windows like my heart right now, how you like that?" She hissed at him as he stormed toward her. He grabbed her arm. She slapped him across his face and he grabbed her and pinned her to the building's wall. "STOP PLAYING WIT ME B!!!! YOU MAKING ME LOOSE MY FUCKIN COOL!!" he barked. "I hate you," she said teary eyed. He took a deep breath and rolled his eyes. "You're just hurt right now," he warned. "Make it go away Q," she whimpered touching his face. He stared at her for a few moments. She stepped closer and kissed him. It was full of so much emotion it lasted for nearly three minutes. "Im sorry Daddy," she whispered when she pulled away. He stared at her and backed away. "I was serious Ava, figure out what you want," he said walking away. "Q," she said teary eyed. He turned to look at her. "I want you," she said. "I wish that was-," he started before he paused. "Baby?" She asked stepping closer. Blood started oosing from his mouth. He touched his chest and eyed his fingertips seeing blood. Ava ran toward him and caught him before he fell. "No, no, no, no, no," she moaned as she laid him on his back. He'd indeed gotten shot. She looked around she saw no one, until she turned to her right, she could see a black SUV pulled to the side of the road, she saw the shooter's eyes through his skimask as he pulled his gun inside the car and roll the window up, they sped off. Gray. Gray eyes. She'd never forget them. She never forgot a target. "You can't die on me baby! You can't," she moaned through sobs as she dialed 911. She gave them the address and everything. "Baby, hold on okay? Hold on," she cried as he began trying to talk. "I-I love you," he coughed through blood. "Don't talk baby, but I love you more.I promise I do, I love you so much. I need you, just don't die, I need you to bad," she moaned sobbing hard. His eyes began drooping. "Don't close your eyes baby- don't leave me," she cried caressing his face. She then began applying pressure to his wound to kill time before the ambulance would get there. She saw the drooping getting worse. "Baby- baby, listen to me. If you make it through this- I'll give you your baby, I'll give you your first I promise, just don't go to sleep," she said. He opened his eyes to that. She smiled through her tears. "I promise," she told him. She continued to talk until the ambulance got there. She got in with the ambulance. When they arrived at the hospital they finally got separated and she had to wait in the waiting room. She called Brandon and told him everything when she got off the phone she began sobbing hard, not carrying who'd been around. If Q didn't make it, she would definitely lose herself. He was her everything. No matter how much she tried to hide it, she had loved him. She loved him so deeply, she felt she couldn't breathe without knowing he was there and now he was in the hospital fighting for his life. When he was really fighting for theirs. They were one. If he died, she'd die with him. Unbenounced to her, to both of them, she was far more in love with Q than she had been with Johnny. No matter how much she tried denying, Q was her next breath. Ava sat in the waiting room for two hours crying. Someone sat beside her. "Come here," the deep baritone voice said. She didn't even look up, she just scooted closer and laid in the person arms and sobbed. Her heart hurt. "Who is it?" The voice asked. She simmered down a little. "My other half," she sniffed. "It's gonna be aight Ma," he said massaging her scalp. He continued to sooth her until she fell asleep crying. --- Ava woke up in Brandon's arms. "Hey B," she said softly. "Doctor come yet?" She asked. "No, but who was that cutie you was all booed up with when I came in," Brandon teased. "I wasn't booed up with nobody, I was just talking to him- I fell asleep," she explained, looking around the empty waiting room. "You didn't call anyone else?" She asked. "Yeah, but it's been hours of waiting they went to the downstairs cafe," he said wiping her face with makeup remover. "Well, whoever nigga that was, was fine," he promised. "I ain't worried about that right now- B, I'm worried about Quincy. I need to find his doctor," she said getting up. Brandon sighed. She went to the front desk. "Hi, do you know when we'll get an update on a patient who came here about 6 hours ago, Quincy Bianchi," she explained. "Ma'am you have to wait till his doctor comes out, and provide you with that information. You can wait out in the waiting room until then-," the older white nurse explained. "I've been in that waiting room for 6 fuckin hours already- they haven't told me anything!" She barked. "Excuse me- you need to calm down for I call security," the nurse exclaimed, face now beet red. "I dare you, bet you it'll be a new bitch behind this desk by the end of the week," Ava hissed as Brandon pulled her away. "You don't know my name bitch," she spat. "Chill out Ava," Brandon said. Ava was about to spazz on him as well until a man in a white coat asked for family of Bianchi. She rushed over. "We're family, I'm his girlfriend," she said just as her family walked up behind her. "I'm Quincy's doctor, Dr. Says. I'll get right to it, listen guys there's good news then theirs bad news," he said. "Which would you like to here first?" He asked. "Is he okay?" She blurted anxiously. "I take it, the good news. Um, well yes he's still alive, he's here and okay, the bullet didn't hit any hard nerve, he's very lucky, yet- our bad news, is that he'd lost so much blood during surgery, he went into a coma-," he started. "Wh-what?" Ava whimpered. "A coma? Do you know when he'll come out of it?" Her father,Losasked from behind her. "It could take months, it could take years- you just gotta have faith," Dr. Says warned. "YEARS?!?" Ava exclaimed. "Just wake him up, tell him I'm here- just wake him up!!" She hissed at the doctor. "The worst predicament is that he could possibly never wake up," Dr. Says admitted. "No," she moaned. "Ava," her father said trying to calm her. "NO!" She sobbed. "NOOO!" she screamed in her fathers arms. She sobbed hard. The possibility of Q not ever waking up devastated her. It broke her heart in half. She needed him, badly. What was she going to do? "Can we see him?" Her mother, Vivian asked. "Sure but he's heavily sedated, his body's still healing-," he started. Ava removed herself from her father arms and rushed to find his room. "Room 302," Dr. Says called after her. She quickly found it and opened the door. She gasped when she saw him hooked up to all those tubes. Her heart broke in two. She rushed over to him and wrapped her arms around him. "Careful- careful-careful, baby girl. His body hasn't healed completely yet," Dice warned. She kissed his face and pulled away. She started crying again. Brandon gave her a chair. She sat and cried in her knees. "It's gonna be okay, princess," her mother sooth hugging her. She continued to cry. She cried for two hours straight. "Your brother's here baby," her mother said softly. "Avy," she heard Zane's voice call from down the hall. She ran out the room and down the hall toward him and jumped in his arms. He held her and hugged her tight. He knew his sister was hurting, she'd already been through this and now it was happening again. Q was also like family to all of them, he treated his sister well so he immediately bonded with him. "It's okay baby girl," he promised rubbing her back. "He's in a coma Zay," she sobbed. "They say it's a possibility he'll never wake up- what am I gonna do?" She sobbed harder still clinging on to him. "Only time will tell, Avy. Time and prayer," he said entering the room himself. "Hey Ma, hey pops," he said as Ava continued to sob on his arm as he held her, "Hi baby," his mother's velvety voice said. She kissed his cheek when he bent down. He dapped his father up. "Damn big bruh," Zay said eying Q in bed. He was hooked up to all type of machines. Ava finally looked over at Q herself and whimpered. "This is all my fault Zay," she said. "How come?" He asked curiously. "We'd been arguing and he stormed out and I started acting crazy because he was trying to leave me and I threw a brick in his window shield. He got out and was yelling at me and I slapped him, he held me to calm me down and he was starting to loosen up, I kept telling him I hated him- and then he started comforting me, I kissed him but he still pulled away, he was about to leave again but I stopped him and then blood started pouring out of his mouth out of nowhere and he fell. I realized he'd been shot- I should have just let him leave, maybe he could have avoided all of this. But he was right, he kept leaving his guard down everytime he got around me, and now he's in this predicament because of me," she explained through tears. "It's not your fault, Avy," Zay warned. "It is," she moaned in tears. "Either way, them niggas was probably plotting on him, it's actually better you was with him, what if he was driving alone. Them niggas could have completed the job," Zay said. She sighed. "I gotta call his family," she said. She grabbed Q's phone she'd stuffed in her purse. "Shit, I don't know his password," she hissed. She tried his birthday year, it was wrong. She tried his month and day. Wrong. "I know a guy who can break into it," Zay admitted. "Try your birthday baby," her mother warned. Ava tried her birthday year and it accepted it. "How did you know Mommy?" Ava asked slightly shocked. Vivian tilted her head over to her father. Ava giggled softly. "Been my password ever since I got it," Dice admitted. "I know sweetie, and I've never had to use it," Vivian said nicely. "Then how do you know it?" Zay asked curiously. Ava chuckled. "I said I never had to, doesn't mean I didn't," Vivian said. They chuckled. Ava loved her family regardless, they could always make her feel better throughout any situation. They were her backbones when Johnny died as well. She went through his contacts, she found the woman closest to his mother Teedo's wife, Sloan. "Hey baby, I was just praying for you," Sloan answered the second ring. "Hey Mama Sloan, it's not Quincy, it's Ava," she said. "Oh hey baby, why are you answering Quincy's phone, he watching that game Teedo's watching?" She asked. "No- mama, he's here in the hospital. I just need you to get here as soon as possible and pray," Ava said tearing up all over again. "Oh God- we're on our way okay? Just be strong- you pray too," Mama Sloan warned. "Okay," she sniffled. "Okay- I love you dear-," she promised. "I love you too," Ava said softly wiping tears away. They soon hung up. Ava began to pray for Q. She stayed by his side all night and all day, his family arrived that next morning. They prayed for him, Sloan and Ava stayed by his side while Teedo had men seeking revenge for who put "the son he never had" in the hospital. Ava groomed him, bathe him, talk to him, read to him, she even called his barber when his facial hair started growing out. This went on for months. Ava was loyal by Q's side, even his men and Teedo respected her for it. She still went to class and worked for her father but she'd always end her nights with Q.
"I tried to reach you- I can almost feel you your nearly here-
And then- you disappear," Ava sang with Beyoncé as she cleaned her home.
"When I lie all by myself- I see your face I hear your voice, my heart stays faithful-," she sang sweetly.
"Time has come and time has past- if it's good it's got to last, feel so right-," she sang as if she were singing to Q. She loved her baby more than ever, this coma made her love for him stronger. She tried to think positive every morning, that maybe he'd wake up today. She kept her faith. Yet being used to his presence, and now him gone had her lonely, a lot. She tried to distract herself with any and everything so wouldn't think about it but when she went to bed at night she felt very lonely. It had been 6 months since she's felt a mans touch. Her girls tried to get her to go out but she never did. Yet, she missed a mans touch, just a man's presence alone.
