"Los is in Miami," Kane, Q's right hand man informed him over the phone. He and Ava had been in her room trying to figure out who the hit earlier was for. She had enemies and so did he. He'd been arguing with her about still working in that field. He never wanted her to be in harm's way but she continued working for her father. These were one of their biggest arguments, he stormed out right before he received the call from Kane. Now Q knew- that the hit had been for him. Usually he couldn't be caught slipping but whenever it came to Ava, he lost all train of thought. He was starting to realize, a woman like her, deep down wasn't good for him. She had him too vulnerable at times and they weren't even together, hell, he didn't even know if she loved him or not, but he knew one thing for sure.. He loves her much more than she loved him. It was obvious, no man with as much power as him should have been caught lacking at a restaurant, no guards around but he was, over his fixation with Ava. "Make that move- his wife, he almost killed Ava, want his whole family B," he growled, not wanting say too much over the phone. "But I'll be out there first thing tomorrow-," he admitted. "You gotta get away from her B- you never off your P's and Q's," Kane admitted boldly prepared for the backlash but to his surprise he didn't get one. "I know," he admitted. "I'll be out there tomorrow- just handle what I said," he said before hanging up. He went upstairs to find Ava sitting in the middle of the floor, staring at the wall. "Aye- Ma," he said touching her arm. She looked up at him with cold eyes. He knew she was still mad from him calling her the b word but she had pressed his buttons calling him all kind of pussies and he didn't know how to take it since he wasn't usually used to the disrespect. "I ain't come with no beef shit- I just came to tell you to your face- we gotta end this shit, right here, right now. I love you to death but if I keep fuckin with you, you gonna be the cause of my death ma," he said expecting her to snap but instead she stared at the wall. "I'm always on my shit when I'm out but when I'm with you, it's like I cant think about nothing but you. I think we just need space ma," he admitted. She didn't respond. "I'll give you time-," he added. He just assumed she was building up that wall again, the wall it took him so long to break down. He was hurting already by doing this and he hasn't even gotten two steps away from her yet. He shook his head and made his way toward the door. She'd made her point, she didn't care. She got up and shot passed him beating him to the door. "Your not leaving me Q!!!" She yelled at him with tears pouring down her face. "Not you too!" She hissed. "You can't leave me too Q, I'll die okay?" She sobbed making her way over to him. He was stunned, he stood in his tracks amazed at her behavior. She shed tears over Johnny or talking about the man but never over him. She buried her head in his chest. "You can't leave," she cried. He stroke her hair and pecked the top of her forehead before pulling away. It wasn't a choice, this was something he had to do, to better himself, to better her. They'd been too attached to each other for so long, it was like they couldn't breathe on their own. "Q!!" She yelled at him. He kept walking- fighting his own emotions. "Q- please! Q!!" She sobbed uncontrollably. He walked out of the door- and now out of her life.
