Amari woke up the next morning, Ava was still in his arms, cradled like a baby. She looked so peaceful. She made his heart speed up by just looking at her. He knew she just had the same issue he had to get over, abandonment issues. Once she forgave the people who hurt her most, he knew she'd be the best woman in the world. He could tell she was a hard lover, yet she had a huge wall up. He made a little progress, by getting her to open up, yet once he continued to show her he would be there for her and she could talk to him no matter what, she'd break down that wall and he could have all of her. He really liked her, not just her being the mother of his child, but because they had that immediate connection. She was down to earth, funny, she listened and never once judged when he told her about his past which was a big plus for him, it has took everything in him to admit to his therapist what happened and he told her off bat. She never judged, she actually was inspired to tell her own. Not to mention how gorgeous she was. She was stunning. He was immediately drawn to her. He stroked her hair softly. The night before had softened his heart, she'd broke down hard. She began to stir. He watched as she shifted. Her eyes finally fluttered open. She looked up at him and hi her face behind her hands shyly. "What boo?" He laughed, trying to remove them. "You look beautiful in the morning," he promised. She smiled softly. "Your such a cornball," she said in her groggy morning voice. "Look who's talking, Ava or Alvin? I turn my face and I won't know," he said referring to her slightly deep voice in the morning. She chuckled and pushed him playfully. "You are annoying," she chuckled hard. He laughed to. "Aye I don't gotta practice today, get dressed , let's go chill," he said. She pulled out of his arms. "I don't know Amari," she admitted. "I don't care if you don't know sweetheart, but we chilling today," he said climbing out of bed himself. She rolled her eyes. "I'm not gonna fall for you Amari," she promised him. He looked over his shoulder side tracked. "You don't have to, but we gonna at least be cordial. I don't got time for love anyways," he lied. Deep down it hurt but he knew otherwise. His personality, even looks alone made women cave. Ava was just trying to save face from breaking down in front of him the night before. She would fall for him sooner or later, this he was sure.
