A few weeks later
Ava was standing in her mirror getting dressed for her big extravagant party. The party her father threw every year for her birthday. She was only three months, she was showing a little she had a small baby bump. She wore a sheer, white laced, long sleeved, deep v neck Michael Costello dress and white Louboutin stilettos. Brandon had her make up flawless and did her hair in a side part with curls, the Veronica Lake hairstyle. She wore thick white diamond studs. She wore no necklace or other jewelry, she wanted the attention on her dress. It hugged every curve, and it was going to drop jaws.
"Them hoes about to be hating on you so bad," Brandon promised.
"I know," she said looking in the mirror. "I look like drop dead gorgeous," she said staring at herself in her mirror. There was a knock on the door.
"Who is it?" Brandon called.
"Morgan," "Raven," "Takari," "Mom" each of them said and they all laughed.
Brandon let them in. "Y'all are so childish," Ava giggled. They all gasped when they saw her.
"AVA! You look soooo pretty!!!" Raven shrieked.
"O-M-G!!" Morgan exclaimed rushing over to her
. "Wow!" Takari said in awe.
"You look gorgeous baby," Her mother promised, rushing over as well.
"You're giving them JLO and Bey at the same time honey," Morgan exclaimed snapping her fingers.
Ava giggled. "Thanks you guys," she said nicely.
"That's a lot of skin though Ava," her mother said softly.
They all giggled.
"It's okay Ma, you can't see nothing serious," she admitted.
"I see your showing," Takari said rubbing her small baby belly.
"Who's here? Everyone?" Ava asked her mother.
"Anybody who's everybody," her mother promised.
"And your baby daddy," Morgan said.
"Girl he is so fine, I had to get away from him and keep reminding myself he's yours," Takari added.
"I didn't invite him," she groaned.
"We know you didn't, but your father did. They've gotten really close over the past weeks you know that," her mother input.
"Yeah, you can't be mean because you ran out on him and been ignoring him ever since," Raven teased.
"I think it's because she was starting to really like him, you know she told him everything? Even about her secret job?" Brandon asked aloud.
The girls, all except her mother, gasped. "You didn't," Morgan said.
Ava shrugged. "He was in that same field before he started playing basketball," Ava admitted.
"Mm- he gangsta and professional at the same time- girl, I need a drink," Takari said.
Ava giggled and rolled her eyes. "Go head try him if you like him," Ava said acting nonchalant.
"Don't do it Takari, Ava faking. She like that man that's why she left him, scared of being hurt that's all," Brandon warned.
"Hey- can y'all not? It's my birthday weekend, it should be about me tonight. Not me and Mari," she complained.
