She'd managed to sneak in her house avoiding guest, she'd rushed upstairs and freshened up, she redid her hair and makeup. She then blended right back in with the party. She gave her brother's group tours, she and Amari let the group lead in front. "Stop Mari," she giggled through kisses in the hall, the group was in the room a few doors down admiring the gym room. He was groping and kissing her. She giggled and kisses back yet pushed him away occasionally so they wouldn't get caught. He stopped at one point and shed turned into the aggressor. "Stop Mari," she moaned through kisses, as she pushed him against the wall, he held his hands up defensively. She continued to kiss him and moan stop. She finally pulled away and giggled. "You just raped me," he teased. "Sorry," she said innocently. He smoothed her hair back, she giggled and grabbed his hand, "Come on before they notice were missing," she said. Soon, dinner was served and everyone gathered around her dining table. Ava sat beside Amari as her parents say at each head of the tables. They gave toasts to Ava on new beginnings as Ava played footsie with Amari. She begin to stroke his penis and he squeezed her hand. She looked at him with a smirk, he mouthed for her to stop. She didn't. His phone then rang, he denied the call cause he couldn't exactly go answer it, Ava had him brick hard. "You gonna get it for this," he murmured to her. She bit her lip and smiled. "You promise?" She murmured back. He smiled back. "So Amari, what's you and my daughter's relationship status?" Dice asked, shocking both of them. "I don't think we should discuss this right now Daddy," she warned sternly. "Then stop doing that shit right in front of me Ava, I'm getting older but I'm not blind," He hissed completely putting her on the spot. She'd totally forgot her dad was sitting near her. Amari came to her rescue. "Well, sir, you daughter as well as everyone else at this table probably knows I'm in love with her. When she wants to take it further, we'll do that but for now we've been taking it one day at a time. But yeah, she knows I love her so any day is a great day for me to take it to the next level but I understand she needs time. And for her I'll wait," he spoke up. A few girls at the table awed, Ava smiled at him, silently thanking him for the save. "Why give your body to a man you don't want to spend the rest of your life with, that just confuses me," Dice said to Ava. If she was white, she'd be beat red. "Aye Dad, chill out, these Ava people's around, she gotta see these people everyday, we don't," Zane spoke up. "Well she shouldn't be doing this inappropriate shit all in my face," Dice hissed. "Calm down sweetie,"  her mother told him. "I lost my fuckin appetite I didn't raise no whore," her father hissed. "You didn't even raise me, I raised me," she snarled at him, eying him with a pitiful look. "Ava, don't," Zane warned. He already knew where she was going with this, they'd talked about it amongst theirselves plenty of times. "Nah fuck that Zay, you wanna judge somebody. Grab a mirror Daddy. I raised me and Zane while you two ran off to Colombia every chance yall got. Yall basically lived there while we were here. I know why Zane and I were pushed into so much activities. Yall had us young and wanted to live, I get it, but since we were babies though? Shoving us to the help, Rosa was my fucking mother, not you mom, and Teedo was my fuckin father, when he could be. You know you're the reason I have never fully trusted a man? I don't trust that they'll stay in my life, I just think they'll abandon me when they wanna do them, the reason I was so stubborn with Q, the reason I can't move forward with Mari. And what did I scrape when I fell off my bike at 5? Do yall know? No. What is Zay's favorite food? How early did I get up to get Zay ready for daycare and me for school? Do yall know? No. Who was there when he was bullied in elementary school? Not yall. When did I get my period Mom? Do you know?" She then laughed through tears. "Of course not, cause yall weren't there, yall were never fuckin there. So don't you dare tell me how you raised me, because you didn't. I raised myself! I vowed to my son, I would never treat him like yall treated us, I will always be there for him whenever he needs me, I will always tell him I love him and that he's so special because he is, I will never leave his side, I'll smother him with all the love I have because I'm giving him what I didn't have! Material things aren't shit when you don't have love. I never cared about cars or clothes or jewelry yall gave me, I just wanted an I love you, you're important, you're so smart, I never got that from either of you. But you know what, I'm good, and I'm gonna be good and my son is gonna be better than me because of it. So I thank yall, I thank yall for showing me what not to do, how not to raise your child," she said before she threw her napkin down and rushed out. She rushed up to her room and slammed her door closed. She paced the room her chest was heaving, she was crying softly. She stripped off her clothes and wiped off her make up angrily, still crying. She climbed in bed and cried. There was soon a knock on her door then it was opened. "Honey, are you okay? What do you need?" Brandon asked. "Amari," she sniffled. "Okay- I'll get everyone out of here too okay?" He asked. "Okay," she sniffled as he hugged her. "Im so proud of you mami though you had my lil ass crying too," he admitted. She smiled through her pain. He always knew how to make her smile someway . "I'll go get Amari babes," he promised. "Kay." She said putting the cover over her head. "And Brandon?" She said softly. "Yeah?" He asked softly. "I love you," she said. "I love you more," he said. When he left she continued crying softly. Shortly she heard the door open again. "Mari?" She asked. "I'm here baby," he said as she sat up looking over at him. "You trying to make a nigga soft ain't you?" He asked wiping her tears. He kicked off his shoes and she pulled him in bed. She laid on his chest, in his arms and cried. He rubbed her back, knowing exactly how she was feeling. They talked through the night until 5 o'clock in the morning. "It feels like a weight off my shoulders, you know?" she asked. "I know- I talked to my pops on the phone the other day, we had a yelling match until his time ran out," Amari admitted. She looked up at him. "Why didn't you tell me?" She asked, kind of hurt. "It was the same day you told me to never speak to you again," he said. "You shouldn't listen to me Amari- I'm pregnant," she said. "You are, speaking of, I really respect what you said about your vows to our lil man, I kind of vowed some similar stuff to him while you were sleeping over one night," he admitted. She smiled. "What was yours?" She asked. "Well, I told him I'm going to give him everything, but I'll teach him what no means," he started. "Ou that's good, I kind of just told him I'll give him everything, you'll probably be the stricter one out of us two," she admitted with a giggle. "Most definitely," he said. "What else babe?" She asked. "Um, I told him I'll love him more than myself, and make sure I tell him everyday too, and teach him everything a father should teach his son. Like how to tie a tie, and be a gentleman, and make sure he knows that women are like flowers, they should be treated kindly, gently and with affection. It's something my grandmother taught me, that's why I am how I am," he admitted. She smiled. "I'll teach him that education is important. That he can follow any dreams he have, he just have to be determined. I told always come to me and you for anything and that though you're a handful that you should be treated like his queen until he get old enough to find that one," he admitted. She looked up at him. "Amari- you know what I think?" She asked softly. "What is that?" He asked sleepily. "I think you'll be an amazing father, I think we'll be amazing parents because of what we been through. It's our first time, and we can be scared because it's our first child but through everything we'll be good. We have each other, and him, and that's all that matters," she explained. He was quiet for a moment. "So you got me Ava?" He asked. "Like are you really ridin Ma?" He asked. She looked up at him and pecked his lips. "Till the end," she promised. He smiled that smile she adored and she smiled back, they talked a little more before they were snoring.
