Ava

Ava fell asleep shortly after her son was born and didn't wake until the next evening. She woke to her friends and family crowded a-around the baby, some laughing, mingling or taking pictures. It was an amazing site to see for Ava. She also seen people she hasn't seen before. Amari had been the first to notice she was up and made his way over with a big smile. "Finally awake sleeping beauty?" he smiled. "Who are these people Mari?" She whispered tilting her head over toward the ones she didn't know. "Oh, my family," he said nonchalantly, sitting beside her on the bed. "Mari," she complained smoothing down her hair. "You look beautiful Ava, chill out," he smiled and pecked her forehead. He was definitely giving her mixed signals. He didn't want to be with her but he kept kissing her. It was all confusing to her. "You do, boo," Brandon agreed coming from behind him. "And you know I tell it like it t-i is," he said hugging her. "Hey boo," she said. "Hey girl, why that son of yours look like you spit him out?" Brandon asked. She giggled. "I don't know," she said. "You know what they say- the one who put in the most work is who they come out looking like," Brandon smirked at the two. Ava blushed. "Ava did put in work that first night," Amari smirked. "Mari," she complained hitting his arm playfully. Brandon laughed. "For real, I was about to marry that ass right after," Amari promised. "Can you stop-" she said covering his mouth with her hand. Brandon chuckled. "Grandma, Khloe, Allie, Tre. Come over here," Amari said calling over his family. She couldn't lie and say she wasn't nervous. "Who's holding the baby?" Ava murmured over at Brandon as Amari's family walked over. "Los," he answered. Her head snapped over in the direction of the hospital crib. Los was cradling Harlem close to his chest. It was actually weird to see. He was always so angry and mean, now he looked totally calm, vulnerable and relaxed. Los eyes met hers and he read her confused look. He rolled his eyes and continue murmuring to his nephew. She smirked to herself knowing she'd caught him being vulnerable. "Ava," Amari said waving his hand in her face. "Yeah," she said eying him. She noticed the a gorgeous teenage looking girl, two elder ladies, a handsome guy and a beautiful little toddler. "Oh my gosh Mari- she's gorgeous," the teenage looking girl said with a smile. "I'm Khloe," she said. "Thank you. You're gorgeous as well, I've heard so much about you," Ava promised her. "I hope only good things," Khloe smiled, revealing a right cheek dimple. She resembled Chris Brown ex-girlfriend, Karruche Tran yet with a vixen body. "Of course- he's crazy about you. You're the only woman I can listen to him talk about so passionately without getting jealous," she admitted. They all chuckled. "I'm Tre- Khloe's fiancé," he said. "Ava. Nice to meet you," she said shaking his hand. "And who is this beautiful little girl?" Ava asked as the four year old smiled at her brightly, revealing her own pair of deep dimples. "I guess dimples run in the family huh?" Ava smiled. They chuckled again. "I'm Allie," the little girl grinned. "Hi Allie, I'm Ava," she said back nicely. "Oh," Allie giggled. "I like your nails," she added. "Thank you, I like your hair," Ava said sweetly, touching one of her curly puff balls. Allie giggled. "Thank you," she responded. "I'm Sophia, Amari's grandmother, you can call me G-ma since you're apart of the family now," Gma told her, reaching down and giving her a hug. "Sorry baby- I'm a hugger," she added. "It's fine," Ava smiled. "All you ladies are stunning, I mean, it's amazing," Ava said smiling at each of them. "So are you and you just woke up," Gma said. "Your pictures do you no justice," Khloe promised. Ava smiled. "Thank you so much," she said. "No problem, I really wish we could have met sooner," Khloe admitted. "Me too- I don't know what took Amari this long," Ava admitted looking over at Amari who was now across the room talking with Los. "He probably wanted you all to himself knowing how we are," G-ma joked on the situation. Ava smiled but inside she felt some type of way. She'd never really wondered why he never introduced her to his family until this very moment. She was suspicious about it but she wanted to quit stressing herself about Amari. He made it clear earlier that they would be nothing more than Harlem's parents, and she couldn't do anything but come to terms with it. From now on out it was she and Harlem against the world.
