Ava took a shower in the guest room. She dried off, and coated on her female products afterward from her suitcase. She also picked out an outfit. She wore a white strapless, she liked showing off her nice smooth legs, she wore her Romper with some white and tan strapped Givenchy Shoes. She'd had weave put in her hair the day before coming to LA, it was in a body wave style with a middle part, she curled it only a little. She did her little make up, adding little gloss and little mascara. Her natural beauty overrode make up any day. She added some white diamond earrings. She grabbed a white Birkin bag. "Ava!" Amari called from outside her closed room door. "Yeah?" She called back. "You ready yet?" He asked. "I am! Hold on!!" She called grabbing her phone. "You take years to get ready Ma," he complained. She opened the door and sighed. "Leave me alone," she teased. He stared at her, she stared back. He was sexy as hell. He had a white, red and blue Play designer shirt on, some dark blue Jeans, and all red Balenciaga shoes. He wore a white and gold Rolex watch and a small gold chain. He broke into that smile that made her dizzy. His looks were beyond her. She could admit their baby would be gorgeous. "You look gorgeous ma," he admitted. "Not bad yourself," she smirked and walked around him. "Yeah aight, you know a nigga handsome as hell," he said, revealing his pearly whites. "You are so full of yourself," she said leading him down the stairs to the door. He took her hand. "What are you doing?" She complained pulling her hand away. "I need to make sure you don't fall with my baby inside you," he said. She eyed him skeptically as he took her hand again. "You're being extra, Mari. I don't like this," she said as he continue to lead her down the steps. "That's you if you never had a gentleman in your life, I still hold my lil sister hand when she come down these steps, they're  too many and they're marble," he said. "Every guy I know is a gentleman to me, if not to their wives even, they are to me. I know what one is, you're just too touchy-feely," she admitted, though inside she was touched at how sweet he was. "You know- if I wasn't secure with myself, a woman like you could break me. But I'm completely fine, and I'm gonna stay a nice, touchy-feely gentleman." He promised. "Good for you," she responded. "You really needa loosen up. I'm gonna be in your life for 18 more years, you better start now," he warned. It really hit her when he said it. She looked at him. 18 years. She was really going to give him his first born. She followed him inside the huge garage to his white Rolls Royce. He opened her door, and she got in. He shut her door and got in the driver seat. He pulled out the garage and started on his way. "They following us?" She asked noticing the black SUV behind them. "Yeah, my guards," he admitted. "Oh okay, superstar," she teased. "Nah- fans go crazy seeing the Amari Travis out and about," he explained. She rolled her eyes. "Yeah, I'm sure," she said dryly. "Fix that attitude Ava," he warned. She sucked her teeth. "Where we going?" She asked. "Breakfast, baby shopping, regular shopping, by 5, I gotta go meet with a friend, then we can go to dinner," he explained. She got excited at baby shopping, more excited than she expected. "But we don't know the sex yet," she pointed out. "Get both or unisex, I can afford to guess," he promised. She grinned. "Everything's on you," she said. "Always. I don't ever want you to even think about picking up your wallet when you're out with me," he said. "It's actually disrespectful," he added. "Whatever you say," she smirked. Her baby daddy was paid so she knew she wouldn't have to lift a finger for a while. Yet she knew after this baby, and no matter what, she was working for her father again. They spent the whole day together, eating, shopping, laughing, joking, talking, getting to know each other. They had a blast. "You are too silly," she chuckled at one of his jokes as they lay in his den at 3 in the morning. Still up talking, joking and watching movies. They were currently watching "Pilot" starring Denzel Washington on his 78" flat screen TV. "Nah that's you," he smirked at her, rubbing her feet. He had magic fingers. She looked at him for a minute. "Why don't you have a girlfriend Mari?" She asked curiously. He shrugged and eyed the TV. "I guess I've been busy, the little free time I had, I went on a date with you," he explained. "Then I get pregnant," she sighed. "I've always lived by everything happens for a reason, maybe God wanted me to slow down and he did, now all I'm focused on is basketball and you," he admitted. She looked down and played with her fingers. "What's wrong?" He asked. She sighed and shook her head, she looked over at the TV screen like it was interesting just to avoid eye contact. "Please don't tell me your shy to tell me something. The same one who cussed me out everytime I called for weeks," he teased. She laughed softly but then shrugged. "I told you I was sorry about that but I just want you to know I don't trust anyone, and I don't depend solely on anyone so don't put your all into worrying about me and don't catch feelings, I'm going to hurt you," she warned all in one breath. He stared at her. She looked away from his eyes and to the TV. "You know what I think Ma?" He asked still rubbing her feet. She groaned. "What do you think Mari?" She asked. He smiled and answered. "I think deep inside, and behind that brick wall you got up, there's a heart of gold," he admitted. She giggled softly. "Trust me Mari- if you knew how many funerals I've caused, I'd say under this is a black heart," she promised. He shook his head. "I disagree, yeah, I've been in that place. I've been in that life, I even took a few myself, but I asked God for forgiveness, forgave everyone else and I know today that my heart is pure," he promised. "But you, I think there's a scared little girl under all that frontin. Until you face your fears which is forgiving and abandonment issues, truly loving yourself again, you'll be the best woman any man could ever have," he promised. "Okay Dr. Phil," she said laughing to dilute the matter. "No, take in what I said now Ava, I believe that with my whole heart," he promised. She eyed him, feeling herself getting a little angry and defensive. "You told me that you wouldn't judge me, that you never judge," she said hard. "I know I did but I'm trying to help you, I'm not judging you, I'm trying to help you ma, I promise," he said sincerely looking into her eyes. "Why would you want to help me? Help someone else I'm not a fuckin charity case," she spat and ripped her feet away from him. "You are a piece of work," he promised as she walked out. "Yeah whatever I'm going to bed," she said. She stripped down to her birthday suit and turned off the lights then climbed in bed, she loved sleeping naked. She got comfortable, and immediately began drifting off. This pregnancy had her tired all the time.
