Ava

Just like that every feeling she tried to push back came rushing back. She missed him so badly and him standing in his all white Armani looking like a Greek God didn't help one bit. They stood taking each other in for a minute. "Hello, earth to you two," Raphael said waving his hands in their faces. They snapped out of their gazes and turned part their attention to Raphy. "You come down together, hand in hand, everyone takes pictures on the red carpet leading out the house, and it circles the-," Raphy started. "We have to hold hands?" Amari asked. Ava cut her eyes over at him. "You don't have to hold my hand," she answered before Raphy. She could tell Amari was carrying a childish acting attitude. She was hurt about it but she didn't care. "No, hall have to hold hands, it's you guys celebration for y'all's baby. What- did something happened since I last seen you two. Last time y'all were so in love now yall can't hold hands," Raphy said. "It doesn't even matter- I still wanna go with Brandon," she pouted. "You're not going with him, that's my child," he said. She cut her eyes over at him again. "Who says that's true?" She teased. "Aye don't play with me lil bitch," he snarled. Ava was in utter shock. He'd never spoke to her so rudely. She didn't even spazz, tears welled in her eyes. He laughed a weird sinister laugh she'd never heard before. "Don't tell me you're gonna cry," he chuckled. She began to get angry now. "Don't play with me Amari, I'm serious, I'll smack the shit outta you," she warned getting in his face. "Get the fuck outta my face," he growled back with viscous eyes. She could see still see the dislike yet lust in his eyes. She smirked. She knew he was just angry for her telling Teedo and knowing now they couldn't be together because of it. "What you gonna do pussy?" she hissed back."Can yall quit this- people are waiting on you two," Raphael hissed. The tension was so thick you could cut it. "Come on, let's get this shit over with.. I'm tired of looking at her fat ass," he spat. Raphael and Brandon gasped. She then snapped her head over at him. She couldn't help the tears in her eyes now. His words were mean. He'd always told her she was beautiful pregnant and that she wasn't fat it was just the baby, he told her he loved her body now his true colors were showing. Brandon quickly jumped all up in his face. "Say something else to my best friend again nigga, I usually don't throw hands, I let my gun talk but I got a special set for you," Brandon snarled. Ava grabbed his hand and pulled him to her still sniffling. "He isn't worth it," she promised. "Yeah, get this faggot outta my fuckin face before I murk him," Amari hissed."You the real faggot talking to the mother of your child like that,"Brandon hissed. "Shut the fuck up pussy boy," Amari gritted on him. "Shut up Amari," Ava hissed. "Why you staring at me? What? You want me?" Brandon giggled licking his lips. Amari rushed him and stole him in his face. Brandon stole him back then Amari hit him with a two piece knocking Brandon over. He then pulled out a gun and hit him in his mouth with it, then took off the safety. Ava and Raphy screeched and security came running. Ava was in shock, at Amari, at the gun in his hand, his foul mouth. It was like he was a whole other person. "What is wrong with you?" Ava asked him in disbelief as she rushed to Brandon's side. "What the fuck is wrong with you, fat ass? And this faggot?" He asked. "Fuck him Ava," Brandon said as Ava began to tear up again. There was a long quiet moment until another voice interrupted the intense stares. "What's going on?" Ava turned to see the person behind the voice then looked back over at the Amari look alike. "You're not Amari," she told him. "You're Los," she said. He broke into that laugh again and put his gun away. "Of course I'm Los, I never said I was Amari, you called me him," he smiled. "You are such a jerk," she rolled her eyes. "That explains everything," Raphael nodded looking from Amari to Los. "What the hell just happened?" Amari asked. "You're brother tried to kill my best friend," she said eying her "real" true love. "What's wrong with you nigga? I told you to stay in the car," Amari said to Los walking up on everyone. He leaned down and took Ava in his arms. She was even surprised by the gesture, but she was relieved Los wasn't Amari, cause he'd said some pretty hurtful things. She didn't care about them words now that she knew the man that was holding her now, hadn't said them. "I'm sorry baby," she whispered, tears welling. "It's okay boo, we'll always be friends right?" He asked. She pulled away abruptly and looked at him like he had 3000 heads. "Friends?" She asked. Los chuckled. "Get. Him. Out. Now," She warned Amari with a calm menacing tone. "Los-" Amari started. "I'm gone," Los chuckled, heading down the hall. "Hurry up with your friend," Los said before laughing again. "I can't stand him," Brandon spat. "Friends? So this is it?" She asked trying her hardest not to cry. "We even blessed to be that much Ava, what do you expect? What if I put a hit out on Zay? We could still be together?" He asked. She didn't say anything just bit her trembling lip knowing he had a point. "I love you so much Ava, I really do. It's hurting me to even do this, I miss you and I haven't even left yet. This is hard for me too but you made your bed," he said. "No, Los did! If he wouldn't have ever came in the picture, this wouldn't have happened!" she hissed angrily tears spewing down her face. "And you're right, you are but its what it is now, we're just co-parents from now on Ava and we both gotta accept it. We're still gonna be the best parents, just not together," he said. She shook her tears falling faster. "Don't cry Ava- you know I hate that," he warned. He was holding her as she cried. She pushed him away after awnnhile. "Just go then Amari," she sniffled. "Ava," he said. "No- go," she said again. "He can't go boo, we have to do this shower, you will never hear the end if he doesn't show his face, and Amari you already know her fathers not having it," Brandon warned. She wiped her tears and went inside her room again. She let Brandon do her makeup all over again while Amari touched himself up in the guest room. He'd already planned to come. Ava said nothing as she got made up. She barely said anything when they finally appeared, she just plastered a fake smile and gave out soft "thank yous". Anybody from outside looking in would have thought the two of them were fine, and that she was happy but her friends and brother knew she was down, emotionally drained. She faked it all the way through. She faked smiled through the speeches, the games, the gifts, the pictures. All she really wanted to do was eat and go to sleep. She could tell Amari sensed her mood by the way he pulled her to the side at the end of it. "I got you a present," he admitted. "What is it?" She asked with a sigh. "It's out front," he said handing her a key. She eyed the two sets of keys and headed out with him. When she reached outside she let out a giggle, she couldn't hide her smile once she spotted her new blue mini van. "Your the official soccer mom with this one," he teased. She turned to him and giggled. "Well aren't you thoughtful?" She said nicely. He smiled at her in his own daze. She eyed him and pulled him closer by his shirt and kissed him deeply. They kissed passionately for a few seconds before she abruptly pulled away knowing she was only confusing herself if she caved. Amari didn't put too much attention on the kiss instead he converted it to the white Rolls Royce rolling up the street. It was wrapped in a big red bow. "That's what the second set of keys are for," he smirked at her. She forced a smile then made her way over to examine it as Los got out the car and threw Amari the keys. "He must love you cause I would never buy you no shit like this," Los promised. She rolled her eyes at Los and got in the drivers seat. It was an amazing car, it was nice and spacey with up to date gadgets. She really loved it. Amari got in the passenger seat. She looked over at him. "Thank you," she said kindly. "Don't sweat it," he said. "No, I kind of feel bad I haven't got you anything, I mean you are his Dad," she said. "It's cool boo," he promised with that sweet smile. She sighed. He turned her on with that smile alone. She needed to get away from him to finish her healing process. "Do you mind taking me home?" She asked quietly. He looked over at her then over at Los who was sitting in Amari's Bugatti in the passenger seat. "If yall can put up with each other for an hour or two," he said knowing her drive home would be two hours. She rolled her eyes and shrugged. "Don't let him say anything to me," she warned. "Aight," he said then got out the car. She got in the passenger seat and leaned the seat back a little to go to sleep. She was extremely tired. She was asleep before they even stepped in the car.
