"Look who finally decided to visit their their second set of parents," Sloan said with Harlem in her arms as Ava followed her toward the kitchen. She'd decided to bring Harlem over to visit Teedo and Sloan since they hadn't seen him since he was a day old and now they were in town at their beach house. "I know but yall know I can't go to Cuba, I'm banned," she said. Sloan turned and looked at her with a strange look. "We don't live in Cuba anymore mija, we moved to LA, we've been there since you were pregnant with my little munchkin, but you wouldn't know that since you never call anymore," Sloan sighed. "Wait- wait- I called the hospital one day to talk to Q, and Carter said he'd moved with you guys to Cuba," she said confused, sitting down next to Teedo in the living room as he watched sports with a few of his men. Teedo looked over at her and shook his head with the same confused expression. "Q was moved to Baltimore, with his dad's side of the family taking care of him. I don't know why Carter would tell you-," he started then groaned, remembering Carter's strong hate for her. "I'm gonna kill him Papa," she said with venom in her eyes. She shot up. "Don't-," Teedo started. "No!! I don't give a fuck!! He kept me away from him this long, when he was nothing but hours away! I thought he was in Cuba and that I could never see him again! Why would he do that Papa?" She asked angry tears running down her face as he brought her into his arms. "Listen mama, I don't understand why Carter would do that or why he hates you so much but you have bigger problems than that now. I heard recently that he wants to have a "sit down" because of yall first encounter," Teedo said. She pulled away abruptly and looked in his eyes to see if he were serious. "I didn't even do anything that serious," she said. "I guess you hurt his pride a little but it's nothing me nor your father can't handle, I haven't even spoken to him since then but I advise you talk to him, because this can start a war. You know your father, and you know me. I love Carter like my own son but you're my baby girl, you've been my baby girl since you were 3 years old. I'm not gonna let anything happen to you," he promised. She nodded wiping another year. "I'm sorry for being a punk," she sighed. "Nah- I'm kind of relieved, I like this new Ava, the old one was too hardcore that it was scary. Remember when Ed was alive, you were triller than any man I knew. I love this Ava, it's pure," he said kindly. She sighed and eyed him. "When Ed was alive it was all so simple," she promised. "Yeah," Teedo nodded. "Just don't do anything irrational Ava, you have Harlem now-," he started. "I know, I know," she sighed in a defeated tone. As bad as she wanted to kill Carter, her son was worth more. Yet, she wasn't done handling it. Not by a long shot. She didn't have to do it herself, but someone else would. Someone she didn't care for enough to risk their life yet would want to hurt Carter. Someone like Los.
