  Two weeks later...

Amari had finally found where she lived at through Zane and went to retrieve his car. He found her crying in the bathroom with the door locked. After he convinced her to come out and tell him what the matter was, he made her get dressed and ride with him to the clinic. "I can't believe this shit," she muttered staring out the window. "It happened Ma, ain't shit we can do about it now," he said. "I can think of more than one ways to make it go away," she said bitterly. "I know you upset right now Ava but you're not killing my seed!" He growled angrily. She rolled her eyes. "You are so dramatic, go get some other girl pregnant then since you want a baby so bad," she muttered. She knew she was in the wrong, that it wasn't fair to kill his baby. She was just stressed right now. She couldn't stop thinking about how bad this would hurt Q. "This my first born ma!" He exclaimed. She could tell he was hurt by her threats. "This so fucked up man," he said sounding defeated. "Now my fuckin agent and coach is calling about this game again," he groaned. He was supposed to be in Seattle right now but he had to check up on her to see if she was really pregnant, he could have cared less about his car. He denied both calls again for the twentieth time. She knew basketball players could get cut from doing stuff like that but it was all cause he was here with her. She didn't say anything for the rest of the ride until they got to the clinic. "I'm not gonna kill our child Amari," she finally said after he opened the door for her. His whole mood changed, he lit up as he helped her out and shut her door. "It's just a messed up situation on my side of things," she warned. He embraced her, at the moment, she needed it. "I get it, I really do but it's going to be okay, I promise! Kids are great! I have a niece I love more than anything in the world, now I get to have my own," he said not containing his joy. It was kind of contagious. "Shut up, cornball," she giggled nudging him. "I'm just telling you Ma," he said. They entered the clinic, people were attacking him like crazy. Asking him to sign autographs and take pictures. She went and signed her name, knowing if she waited on Amari it would be all day. She went and sat in the waiting room. Her phone began ringing. "Yeah?" She asked. "Where you at girl?" Amari's voice asked. "Waiting room," she said. "Aight," he said and hung up. She then realized he'd gotten her number. But how?She questioned. Her phone rang again, answering her own question. "Why did you tell him where I lived without warning me Zay? We do stuff like that now?" She asked her brother. She wasn't mad, just curious. "Be quiet lil girl, he said you stole his car and he was trying to see if you were having his baby, why would you get pregnant by a random nigga Avy, we doing that now?" He asked. "Just don't tell Mom and Daddy yet," she pleaded. "You know I wouldn't do no foul stuff like that. It's not my place," he said. "It's not like Amari a bad dude, but what you gonna tell Q?" He asked. "I don't know," she whispered feeling more and more down every time she thought about it. "It wasn't suppose to be like this," she said. "I know lil sis. But everything happens for a reason, where you at now?" he asked. "At the clinic with him," she admitted. "I took like 12 test and they all were positive, I cried for days," she added."Why didn't you call me Ava?" He complained. "I know Zay, but I didn't call anybody.. I was depressed," she told him. "It's cool Ava," she warned. "Zane," she said. "I'm not mad at you- I just get it," he promised. "Okay Zane," she said. She knew he was a little upset, since they were extremely tight. "I'm sorry," she admitted. "I accept your apology lil girl," he promised. "I'm older than you, stop calling me that," she complained as Amari walked over and sat beside her. "I'll call you what I want," he said. "I'll call you later, okay?" She asked. "Aight man I love you sis," he said. "I love you too," she said before she hung up. She looked over at Amari who was eying her quietly. "Your little boyfriend calling?" He asked. She giggled at his jealousy. He chewed on his bottom lip. "It's an angry and a nervous thing," she discovered aloud. "What?" He asked. "You bite your bottom lip, whenever you're nervous or angry," she told him. "Very attentive," he said messing with his phone. "Apparently so are your groupies," she said. She noticed the girls drooling over him in the clinic. He looked up and around then back at her, then at his phone. "You have no room to be jealous, you're the one with the boyfriend," he said. "Who said I was jealous, I'm just saying," she shrugged. "Yeah, okay," he said. "Excuse me, I'm Sasha," a pretty girl with knock off designers from head to toe said, introducing herself to Amari. He only nodded, not wanting to be bothered. "I think your the best player there is," she admitted. "Thank you," he said nicely. Ava shot her a look. "What sport does he play?" She asked curiously. The girl eyed Amari for a while. "Baseball- no football," she stammered. Amari shook his head, chuckling softly. "Dismiss yourself sweetie," Ava said not taking her eyes off her phone. The girl walked away, not before slipping Amari her number. "These hoes are mad rude, what if I was your girl?" She asked. "Your not, so you have nothing to worry about," he said softly. She rolled her eyes. Shortly, the doctor was calling her name and shortly, she's peed in the cup in a bathroom then let the doctor take it from there. They waited for the doctor to verify something they'd deep down, already knew. 20 minutes later he came back and nodded. "You guys are indeed pregnant, exactly two weeks along, congrats," Dr. Ed said shaking both their hand. He gave her a packet of information on pregnancy and gave her a few references to get more info. She had to really digest that this was real. She didn't really know how to take it while Amari couldn't stop smiling. "I wish you would stop with that big ass grin on your face," she muttered miserably as he drove her home. "I'm sorry you're not happy about this but you're definitely not gonna down my mood about this," he said excitedly. She rolled her eyes. "Just hurry up and get me home," she murmured. She just wanted to be held by Q while she slept. She teared up thinking of it. What if he never forgave her? This was supposed to be his child in her tummy. She felt like trash for what she's done to him. "I'll call you alright? Make sure you eat healthy, no seafood-," he started, she slammed the door closed mid sentence and went toward her condo's building. "That was hella rude, Ma," he called after her. She didn't respond just kept walking.
