Gjaki was slow to calm down. As soon as she did, she grabbed Chornakish by the hand and dragged him to their room, without saying a word. Diknsa, Coinin and Eldi didn't understand what was happening, while the dryad laughed. The laughter made the blood warrior blush as she disappeared.

"What did you give her?" Eldi asked.

"Tears of Onuava," Melia answered innocently.

"I've heard that already. What're they?" the high human wanted to know.

"Something I've wanted to give her for a long time, but couldn't, because of those damn idiots. Normally, you have to wait a few years for them to be collected for you, but she's lucky. The original applicants are arrogant petty people who don't deserve it, so I confiscated them. After all, we have no obligation to give them, and even less to them. Let them ask for them again, and we'll see," she revealed, with an inflection of anger when she spoke about said requesters.

Melia was referring to some of those who had prevented Melia and Eldi from meeting before, those who had forced him to carry out one last mission. They hadn't cared that he would have carried it out anyway.

The dryad's anger had lessened after meeting with Eldi, but that didn't mean she was going to forgive them easily. It hadn't been nearly enough to give a certain exquisite delicacy a horrible taste.

Since someone she cared about needed them, she had appropriated the Tears of Onuava, and brought them to Gjaki. Melia didn't care about the complaints she would receive in the future. Rather, she was expecting them.

"What's it for?" Eldi insisted.

She smiled and put a finger on his lips, indicating not to ask anymore. She wasn't going to tell him.

"Gjaki will reveal that when the time comes, if she wants to. For now, give her time. I assure you that it's not bad at all, quite the opposite," she explained, addressing the two vampiresses too.

"That's not fair! I want to know!" Coinin complained, half imitating her grandchildren.

"She must have her reasons. Gjaki seemed very excited. Are you staying for lunch?" Diknsa offered.

"Another day. We have to go to a wedding," Melia rejected.

"A wedding?"

"Not exactly, but more or less. Ted and Mideltya wanted to make it official. They were going to see her family. We want to go see how they're doing, in case they need our support," Eldi explained.

"Ah! I hope they're doing well. If you need anything, you know where we are," Coinin worried a little.

She had spoken with them in the past, and she knew that the situation with her family wasn't easy. Apparently, the presence of Eldi and Elendnas had improved things, but there was still reluctance in her family. Her brother was especially opposed. Apparently, he was a friend of Asondor, Mideltya's ex-fiancé.

"Sure, we'll come another day. I have always wanted to visit you, but I couldn't. The rules didn't allow it, but that's not the case anymore. Well, we'll explain everything another day! Let's go Eldi! We better hurry up!" the dryad suddenly urged.

He looked at her strangely, but he didn't hesitate to listen to her. Melia had seen something, or her sisters had warned her. Therefore, he opened a Gate near their destination.

"See you soon," she said goodbye.

"Good luck! Come celebrate everyone! Best wishes to the others!" Diknsa invited them.

"You'll have to explain this to us too! I'll add it to your debt of stories!" Coinin joked, although she was very serious about it.

"Ha, ha. We'll tell you all of them! You may also have something to tell," the dryad said goodbye with a bit of mystery.

They crossed the Gate. They had something important to do. Eldi hoped there would be no problems.

"What's all this?" Chornakish asked, when they reached the room "Wait! Stop taking my clothes off!"

"Are you shy now?" she complained.

"Are you going to tell me what's going on?" he insisted.

"Well... I'm sorry, I got too excited... I'm sorry..." she felt a bit embarrassed, biting her lip.

"Tell me whatever is going on," he asked softly.

"You know we haven't been able to have children," she started.

"Yes, I know," he lowered his gaze, somewhat depressed. They didn't usually talk about it, as they both blamed themselves.

"Melia confirmed it to me. It's my fault for having a very strong bloodline," she explained.

"No! It's mine for being weak! It's not your fault!" he blamed himself, then looked away again.

She approached, put a finger on his lips and another on his chin. That forced him to look at her.

"You've asked so serious, and now you won't let me finish. Keep quiet until I finish," she demanded.

He obeyed, somewhat surprised and captivated by the vampiress' sweet tone and huge smile. When was the last time he had seen her like that, so radiant? He had no choice but to nod.

"Good boy. As I was saying, it's my fault, my bloodline is too strong. Melia told me that it doesn't only happen to me, but to other beings, and that there's a solution," she explained.

She did so by taking out the bottle that the dryad had given her, and Chornakish stared at it. His heart was beating hard. That was a matter that had been very painful for both of them.

"They're Tears of Onuava. They temporarily weaken the bloodline. I'll be a little weak, so you'll have to pamper me. We're going to try them for a month," she finished, sensually.

"A month?" he swallowed, as she approached.

"We're not going out for a month. I don't want them to see me like this, nor do I want to give explanations. Not until I know if it works," she felt for a moment indecisive, fearful.

"A month then, just the two of us. Didn't we do that years ago?" he smiled at her, hugging her.

"Heh, heh. I hope you're in shape," she threatened, regaining her composure.

"Shouldn't you take them before you undress me?" he complained.

"A round of training!" she laughed, pushing him onto the bed. "Let me abuse you now while I can! I don't know how I'll be later..."

He wanted to protest, but it was impossible. Two fangs sank sensually into his neck, and his heart began to beat even harder. He had no escape now. Although it hadn't crossed his mind for a moment to try to escape.
