"You think you're different to me, don't you?" I tilt my head, staring at each other's lips.
Without breaking eye contact, he slowly stands, making him in control with the advantage in height. I'm the one looking up at him now.
"And you...

Ive never been more tired in class. Usually, I enjoyed Mr.Dixons class. He was a good teacher and he wasn't too strict with the work. But I haven't been getting enough sleep during the last few days.
Firstly, I didn't realize the sleep less nights I would have just so that I get chosen for valedictorian. I was taking this very serious, I started tutoring other students for different subjects, three times a week during study hall, then using nights to study for exams, the free time I had I would work out and on top of that I was working at a mechanic shop in the mean time to earn some money. Then I got the news I've dreaded hearing since my accident. So it's all been piling up on me.
"I think I can cheat my way out of this one this time right? I mean it's just an essay but I'll change up the words." Yasmin mutters so I could barely hear her.
And on top of everything else, people were ten times more annoying than usual. Yasmin, who constantly reminds me of leaving her at the party alone, keeps talking to me. Sometimes, I started seeing my lack of hearing as a benefit because I would just tune her out.
"Why don't you just drop the class if you can't keep up?" I resisted rolling my eyes.
"Jeez, someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed." She says after.
I was sick of always hearing her blame the teacher for giving us too much work. This was an AP class, if it's too much, leave. It really wasn't that hard. It's not like she's learning anything cause she always cheats her way to an A.
There was a knock on the door and while everyone else did the assigned work, Mr. Dixon went to open up the door. I didn't care to look until I heard him speak loudly.
"Annalise! What a surprise. Come in, you're late but sit down and I'll catch you up." This only caught my attention because for the past few weeks her seats been empty.
Rumors still spread around the school in the last few weeks, they were all exaggerated to an extreme.
I think everyone was taken aback by the appearance of Annalise. She didn't look like herself. Her uniform was messily put on, her blouse tucked into her skirt and her cardigan was unusually button all the way to her neck. She wore a pair of sunglasses which I'm surprised she wasn't told to take off by now. Her hair was somewhat all over the place over her shoulders and she walked slow paced. What a mess.
She stops in front of her seat next to Quinn, but it had been taken by another girl in the past few weeks. "Seriously? This is my seat." I hear Anna say with an attitude.
