Summer slowly walked into Abbott House, Kyle right behind her. The house seemed quiet, too quiet for the amount of people living there.

"Where's Harrison?" Summer asked taking a seat on the couch. Kyle didn't answer, instead he sat down next to her and grabbed her hands. Now Summer was nervous. "Kyle, you're scaring me. Where is Harrison?"

"I just want to preface that this wasn't my choice, it was Judge Brady."

"You're stalling."

Kyle took a deep breath, "He's with Tara."

Summer shot up from the couch, ignoring the pain in her stomach as she did. "What do you mean he's with Tara? How could you let this happen?" She shrieked.

"I didn't let this happen." Kyle fired back annoyed. "She had a court order. What did you want me to do ignore a court order?"

"Yes!" Summer responded not caring how ridiculous she sounded.

Kyle on the other hand did care, "I'm not going to jail, leaving Harrison completely in Tara's hands, just to prove a point."

"He wouldn't be in Tara's hands, I'd be here." Summer said. Kyle stared at his wife in disbelief. Did she not hear how unfeeling and ignorant she sounded? Somehow, she was also ignoring the biggest point possible.

"Summer, baby, you're not getting it. If something was to happen to me, Harrison would go to Tara. You have no legal rights to him. You're his stepmother, not his mother." The second those words came out of his mouth, he regretted them. He winced at the flash of pain in Summer's eyes.

"You're right." Summer said, suddenly sounding very defeated. "I'm not Harrison's mother, I'm no one's mother." Kyle started to move towards her, but Summer put her hands up to stop him. "I need to be alone." She walked away from him and went upstairs. Kyle sank back down to the couch. He threw his head in hands. This was such a mess and it was only going to get worse.
