Summer entered Abbott House after a busy day at Marchetti. She was hoping that her husband would be at home since he never showed up at work. "Kyle?" Summer shouted, "Kyle, are you here?"

"Hello Summer." Jack greeted her as he came out of the kitchen. "How are you doing?"

"I'm fine, Jack. Thanks for asking." Summer replied. "Um, Jack, do you happen to know if Kyle's here?"

"No, I haven't seen my son all day." Jack answered before a thought occurred to him. "Why are you asking about Kyle? Didn't you see him at work?"

Summer shook her head. "Kyle never came in, he's not answering any messages. I'm worried about him."

Jack was about to respond when Kyle opened the front door. Both pairs of eyes turned to him; worry filling them. "Hey, what's going on?" He asked confused.

"Where have you been?" Summer went in. "I've been worried all day."

"Summer asks a valid question. She said you never came into work today." Jack added.

Kyle stifled a groan; Summer being on his case was bad enough, but she had to get his father involved. He thought for a moment, weighing his options for this confession. "I'm sorry for scaring you; I was with a friend who needed someone. I didn't feel comfortable leaving them alone."

Jack nodded in understanding, it made sense to him, but Summer wasn't convinced. "Which friend is it? Is there anything I can do for them?" She was going through Kyle's friends in her mind, she couldn't think of anyone that was in crisis lately.

Kyle swallowed his anger; he should've known that Summer wouldn't let it go. She was just like her mother when she was convinced something was wrong. "No, there's nothing you can do. She'll be fine." Summer narrowed her eyes; it was a her? "Oh Dad, that reminds me. I ran into Abby when I was with my friend, and she mentioned that Adam was at the hospital with Sally and his new daughter. I know you're busy, but she was worried about him brooding up there and since Victor is still incapacitated..."

"Say no more, I'll head up there right now. Thanks for letting me know." Jack said. He walked over to the closet to grab his coat. He said his goodbyes; goodbyes that only Kyle returned, Summer was still focused on Kyle spending time with an unknown woman.

"Hopefully, Dad can keep Adam sane." Kyle commented to an unfeeling Summer. He looked over to see his wife glaring a hole in him. "What's wrong?" He asked, bracing himself for the fight he knew was coming.

Summer could see the walls coming up and recognized that fighting wasn't going to solve anything, not this time. "When you didn't come into work, I was worried. That worry shifted to paranoia when you didn't answer your phone. I know that Sally got kidnapped because Chelsea is an insufferable bitch, not because of anything she did, but." She took a deep breath, trying to gather herself. "But you're the CEO of a national brand, you're a name, you're a, a..."

"Target." Kyle finished for her. The guilt that was brewing underneath, was suddenly overflowing. The unexpected mention of Sally really threw him. "Hey, come here." He motioned for her to come towards him, and she did. "I'm so sorry for panicking you like that. I should've texted you, that's my fault." He hugged her close; the irony of having done this with CoCo earlier wasn't lost on him.

"I'm sorry for being such a bitch. You were just being a good friend, and I jumped down your throat." Summer apologized. Sometimes she really hated how she went to the worst-case scenario.

That overflowing guilt had now completed consumed him. "You have nothing to apologize for, absolutely nothing." Kyle told Summer. "All the fault here lies with me, okay?" Summer nodded, sniffling. She invited to come upstairs and take a bath with her. "You get it started; I'll be there in a minute." His beautiful wife smiled and went upstairs. Kyle collapsed onto the couch, throwing his head in his hands. Abby's earlier warning was in his head; this situation was such a mess, and he had a feeling it was only going to get worse.
