Chapter 6

A Month Later at BPD

Jane walks into BPD and goes upstairs because her lieutenant wants to talk to her. She gets a surprise visit from Maura, Arizona and the triplets.

When she gets upstairs, she starts walking down the hall to her Lieutenants' office and sees him, Maura, Arizona & the Chief in the homicide department.

She walks in and everyone turns and starts cheering and clapping. The Chief walks up to her and tells her welcome to the Homicide Unit. He hands her her detectives badge. Maura & Arizona walk up, hug her and says congratulations.

She looks up and sees a man in a police uniform who looks like Frankie. She calls his name.

Jane: Frankie?!

He turns around and they see each other.

Frankie: Janie?!

She runs to him. He runs to her too. They hug and Jane starts crying.

Jane: I thought I'd never see you again.

Frankie: I thought I'd never see you again either.

Jane: I know I shouldn't ask this, but how are ma and pop?

Frankie: They're divorced. Dad cheated on her with someone 30 years younger. (clears throat) You might want to avoid the cafe downstairs.

Jane: Why?

Frankie: Ma got a job down there. She said she needed the money.

Jane: Why does every bad thing have to happen to me?

After she says that, Angela walks into the bullpen.

Angela: Jane Clementine Rizzoli!

Jane turns around fast.

Jane: Ma?!

Frankie, Maura & Arizona stand in front of her to protect her.

Jane: (worriedly) What are you doing up here ma?

Angela: I came to ask Frankie something. I see you're still bi.

Jane: Ma, don't do this here.

Everyone looks at them. Angela walks up to them.

Angela: Why not do it here?

Frankie: Really, ma?

Everyone: We don't see the problem with it. It's Massachusetts. Gay marriage is legal here. If you don't like it then don't live in the state.

Jane: I don't care what you do to me, but you will not ever say anything bad about my wives or kids. I maybe a cop, but I'd have to be put in jail for what I'd do to you if you ever hurt my family. You never could accept that I was bi. It was always we're catholic and it's a sin. Do you know how long I felt that way and was too scared to tell you. I was holding that secret in for 5 years. I started feeling that way when I was 13. I didn't say anything because I knew how you and pop would react. Do you know what it's like to keep a secret that big inside for that long? It eats you up inside. I knew what would happen when I told you, I just never thought you and dad would do it. You don't want to be apart of my life. Fine. I have my own life now. I've got two wonderful wives and three beautiful children. Now, I also have my brother back. I don't need you. Come see me when you want to be my mother. Until then, stay the hell away from this area and my family. Are we clear?

Angela shakes her head yes and walks away.

Jane grabs two of the carriers and says to Maura and Arizona, "Let's go home."

They walk out and go home.
