The Next Day
Jane gets called in for a hostage situation and goes to the scene.
The guy is holding his ex-fiancé and her husband.
They try to reason with the guy, but he won't budge. She tells them to let her try. They do. She goes in and talks to him. He relaxes a little. Then, she says something about letting them go and he panics. A shoot out ensues and she gets shot in her right arm. They shoot him dead. They process everything and Jane goes to the hospital. They take out the bullet and fix the bone. They stitch her up and put her in a cast for at least six weeks. They give her some pain medicine and send her home.
At Home
She gets home and it's 6 o'clock. She's late for dinner. She knows she's gonna get it later. She gets out of the car and walks up to the door. She opens it and walks in. She walks into the dining room with her head down. Everyone looks at her. Maura and Arizona get up and walk to her.
Maura&Arizona: What happened?!
They turn to the team. They just look away.
Arizona: Jane Clementine Isles, you are going to tell us what happened this instant or your punishment for getting hurt will be worse!
Jane: (in a small voice) We had a hostage situation. I tried to talk the guy out. I went inside and I almost had him, but when I said to let the people go he flipped out and shot me. I'm sorry.
Arizona: Go to the bedroom and stay there until we come get you.
Jane just turns and walks upstairs to their bedroom.
