They get there and wheel Jane into x-Rays. They x-Ray her back and then put her in a room. Everyone follows them. They sit and wait for the doctor. About an hour later, Dr.Altman comes in to deliver the news.
Jane: And?
Dr.Altman: I'm sorry. You're partially paralyzed from the waist down.
Jane: What does that mean.
Dr.Altman: It means that you'll still be able to walk, but you'll have to rely on special crutches. There's something called the ReWalk Exoskeleton and its braces that go around your legs with a harness around your waist and shoulders. It runs off a computer and battery. To walk just lean forward and to stop, lean upright. In your condition, your insurance will cover it. If we put it through right now, we could have it in a few days and have you out of here a few days later. How does that sound?
Jane looks at everyone and then Maura and Arizona.
Jane: What do you think? Yes or no?
Arizona and Maura: I say yes.
Jane: Let's do it.
Dr.Altman: Okay. I'll go start on the order. We should have it by the end of the week. Maybe before. We can try it out the whole day. Once you get the hang of it, you can go home.
Jane: Okay.
Dr.Altman walks out.
