§Jack's Back§

*ONE OF THE UNKNOWN POV'S ARE GOING TO BE REVEALED!*

*Ashton's POV*

I got in the car with my calm aura and drove down the street before anger swept over me.

She broke up with me?! We were so good! One stupid little fight!

Sadness soon replaced the anger. Well I guess I did punch her. I didn't mean to, but who sneaks up on someone in the fighting zone? Couldn't she have waited till I was done?

I glance down at the clock and it finally clicked.

She had waited... For about 2 hours...

I smacked my forehead, "Idiot. All you wanted to do all week was see her and talk to her. And you ruin it by freaking punching her!"

I wince as I imagine the giant bruise with my fist print clear on her stomach.

This was all Derek's fault.

*Maggie's POV*

"Hey Peach." He smiled his beautiful smile as I stood there speechless. Before I could realise what I was doing, I jumped up, wrapped my arms around his neck, legs around his waist and squeezed him tight. He wraps his arms around my waist as I breathe in his familiar and calming scent. After hugging for a couple minutes I pulled away and looked at him, taking in every feature of his beautiful face. He looked behind me, "Can I come in?"

I hop down and nod. Suddenly my brain was filled with questions and they came tumbling out of my mouth before I could control it, "Why are you back? How did you get back? When did you get back? What about Karla? Are you back for her? Does she know you're here? What'll she do when she knows you are in town? What is going to do to me when she knows you came to me? Is she gonna want you back? What about Derek? She has her eyes on both of you? Is that fair? Why aren't you answering me?"

"You haven't given me a chance to speak. You're still a rambling mess as usual I see."

Anger started to boil in me and I exploded, "You don't get to insult me! Where were you?! You just left and never contacted me! You were my best friend and I just lost you! You walked out and never came back! You know how much that hurt me! It was like experiencing the pain all over again!! How dare you! Then you come back and use that cute nickname that I love so much, which is beside the point, and insult me?! No! Now explain!"

By this point I was pacing and breathing heavily, "Can we sit?" He asks looking at me with emotions I can't decode filling his eyes.

I sigh and nod before walking to the couch and sitting on the edge. Jack copied me and slouched with his face in his hands, "Leaving you was the hardest thing I have ever had to do. Trust me. If I could've stayed I would've. I wanted to keep in touch, but I didn't want you to dwell on me. I wanted you to move on and forget me. I'm sorry for putting you through that pain. Again. I just. I had to."

"No. You could've gotten out of Karlas grip. You just didn't try. You were scared like every other person at the school. Too scared to stand up to the great Karla."

"No. You don't understand." He sighs and runs a hand through his hair. He then looks up at me with a heartbreaking look and whispers, "Karisma had gotten cancer."

I gasp, scoot closer to him, and hug him tight, "Oh my god! Jack, I'm so sorry. I had no idea! What happened?" Karisma is Jack's older sister. He loved her to pieces as well as her two twin children, Breydon and Leila.
