Chapter 29: Prom Shopping and Closets?

~*~ THE LAST UNKNOW POVS IS GONNA BE EXPOSED!! Btw the dress is Jessi's prom dress.~*~

"I think this is the perfect dress!" Jessi squealed while stepping out of the dressing room. She was wearing a long partially fluffy purple dress. It flowed down her body accentuating her curves perfectly. She spins while giggling, "When I spin it goes 'Woosh'."

We were curently at a mall. It was one a couple of towns away so that we still had a good selection to choose for dresses, considering this town is full of old people and doesn't have a high school.

I held my breath and smiled, "Jessi it's absolutely beautiful." She beamed at me and walked back in. I sighed and frowned. I wish I had someone to go with to prom... Jessi walked out in her normal clothes and looked at me. As if reading my thoughts, she grabbed my shoulders and pulled me into a hug, "Its okay Maggie. I'm sure someone will ask you.. You just have to wait. Anyways... Prom isn't for a few months."

I smiled as best I could at her, walked to the counter, paid, and walked out.

As we were walking to the food court, I saw Sam and called him over. He looked around confused, looked at us, widened his eyes and began slowly walking over to us.

"Uhhh... Hi.. Guys.." He whips out his phone and types vigorously on it before sliding it into his pocket and looking back up at us with a forced smile.

"What are you doing here?" We both ask at the same time. I giggle as he gives me a look showing that he really wanted an answer.

I give him a look, but answer none-the-less, "Prom dress shopping. You?"

He chuckles nervously and looks around before putting his hands in his pockets and looking down at his feet, "My... Grandma wanted me to buy her something."

I smile and nod, "Makes sense. I didn't know she lived here though.. Hmm... Guess you learn something new every day."

He chuckles nervously before looking around again, "What the hell." I look over at Jessi to see her glaring at something in a different direction. I follow her line of sight and frown.

"What's he doing here?" He spots us glances back at Sam and walks over.

"Uh... Hey girls... A-and Sam." I scrunch up my eyebrows. What is going on with these guys today?

"Well I would stay and talk, but my stomach is screaming at me to get food... So..." Jessi grabs my arm and drags me away as I send the boys a sympathetic look and small wave.

Jessi pouts and glares at the floor, "He's here because I am. When is he gonna get over me. We are done."

I glance behind us and see them arguing and frown, "Maybe he isn't here for you..."

She scoffs and orders some food before sitting down and shoving it in her face angrily. They walked over to us and sit down.

They looked at each other wearily before turning their attention back to us, "Uh.. I have something to say. It might shock you guys, but I need to get it off my chest. Why not test it here?" I nod and give Sam an encouraging look for him to continue, "I'm in love..."

I drop my jaw and look at Jessi to see her with the same expression, "What?" Is all I can muster out before he sighs.

"Yea... And.." He looks over and grabs Kai's hand, "It's not with the gender you would expect..."

Kai smiles and squeezes his hand lovingly as Jessi and I exchange looks, "Th-that's great.. Uh.. Whe-when did this become a thing?"

This time Kai cuts in, "About 3 months."

"Oh wow. So a few days after you arrived back into town then." I smiled and looked back and forth between them. You could see the love swirling in their eyes, "I'm so happy for you guys."

Sam looks at me with his eyes twinkling, "You're not disgusted?"

I laughed and shook my head, "No. You're still the same person and it's not like it was your choice. What kind of person would I be if I judged you for the way you were born?"

Kai looks at Jessi and bites his lip, "I hope you're okay with this..."

She smiles, "Of course. It's good to know you finally moved on. All that matters is your happiness." She kisses his cheek and continues to eat.

"Wow. That was easier than I expected... Now we just have to tell the school..."

~*~BOOM!! THERE YOU GO! One of my plot twists have finally been revealed. I know its short, but I just really wanted this chapter to rely on their coming out. I hope this doesn't make you hate my book...
