§Everything Prom Part 1§
"Nope. No. Burn it." Jessi scrunches up her face at yet another prom dress option.
I sigh, "You haven't liked one of the dresses I've shown you..."
She shrugs, "They're hideous... I mean come on.. Puke green? Yellow?"
I frown, "Well what do you expect? It's 3 days before prom... Of course the dresses left are gonna suck."
"Then you're screwed." She shoos me back into the changing room.
After putting my normal clothes back on we walk out of the shop, "I can't believe I can't find a dress to wear!"
I pout and Jessi rolls her eyes, "Stop complaining. You have Derek..."
I sigh, "But a dress."
"We tried. You complained and now I'm tired of it. Just wear a stupid costume for all I care..." Jessi grumbles out.
I widen my eyes, a smile finding it's way on my face, "Jessi you're brilliant!"
"Wait no. I was joking!" She says following me while I rush out of the mall, towards the car.
"I have the perfect dress in mind!" I get in and start the car, waiting anxiously for Jessi to enter.
"You're a nut job." Jessi buckles and I zoom away.

"Isn't it gorgeous?" I step on stage to show Jessi the dress and she looks me over skeptically.
"Turn." I do as she asks and she inspects it once more, "It's very old looking."
I laugh, "Well yea, it was used in 'Wuthering Heights'"
She nods and I glance down at the flower covered dress, "Well you'll be the only one looking like you're supposed to be in the Victorian Era." Jessi says crossing her arms.
I smile, "Well I got confirmation that I am allowed to adjust this dress since they don't plan on using it again. So I was thinking that I could cut the sleeves to make it strapless and then get rid of the choker. Just picture it."
Jessi stares at me for a moment before smiling and nodding, "It definitely will work..."
(DRESS IS PICTURE AT BEGINNING OF CHAPTER)
Great. Prom dress down, now hair and make up.

~Derek's POV~
"Wait so what do I do again?" I ask, scratching the back of my neck in confusion.
Sam sighs and pushes me towards my mom again, "Grab her waist and lead her into step one, then glide into two and three, and finish off with a dip. It's honestly not that hard! It's like I'm teaching an ogre!"
I sigh and Sam starts the music again as we continue our rehearsal. I've never learnt to dance or anything, my dad never got around to teaching me before he became a complete ass.
