Chapter 1

JJ's Pov:

I walked through the apartment and all the memories came flooding back to me.

All of them.

I put on a strong face, and took deep breaths.

I would've broke down if Emily and Reid both weren't here right now.

Why couldn't they just leave me alone already? I was perfectly fine and capable on being by myself.

Well, now I was.

They just watched me as I looked around my apartment taking it all in still, trying to remember the happy moments I've had here.

Henry, that was a good one.

Him always laughing, drawing on the walls, making a mess. Asking me to play with him, asking for me to stay home with him, and begging me not to go to work.

Maybe I should've stayed home those days he asked me. I would've had more memories with him then.

I dropped my coat on the ground and took another step, feeling my body heating up from all the feelings inside of me at the moment.

"JJ?" Emily asked in a low concerned voice.

I looked over at her.

"Do you want us to help you get situated?" She continued waiting patiently.

I raised my eyebrows, looking at her then Reid.

"Seriously?"

"Well-"

"I don't have any bags." I stated cutting her off from finishing.

"Right." She said nodding noticing.
"I should-get going Hotch is probably expecting me to be home soon."

"Have fun." I miles under my breath as she began walking out.

She paused and took a deep breath.
"Reid can we talk for a moment?"

"Sure." He said nodding as he followed her into the kitchen.

Jeez, because I definitely wouldn't be able to hear them at all from inches away or anything.

"Stay here with her tonight."

"Emily I know. There's no chance I'm leaving her here alone on her first night back."

I could handle myself.
Did they even care about what I wanted? Probably not. They didn't when they locked me up in that-zoo.

"Goodnight Reid." She said hugging him, he hugged back and have her a small smile.

"Goodnight Em."

I watched as she walked out, not even bothering to say goodnight to me, probably thinking I was going to make a snappy remark-she was right.

"Well looks like you got me for the night." Reid said with a smile.

"Great." I said annoyed.
"This is just great."
