Jungkook pov:
The morning came.
Along with the fact that our tent was in pretty poor shape, I discovered a letter next to me when I woke up.
As I carefully lifted the letter, I felt my breath catch, as if I had not read it yet, but I could still tell it was from Y/N.
As if it were a feather that could be destroyed with a single touch, I opened the letter.
As I read that letter through to the end, I felt my heart melt and tears welling up inside of me.
This was sufficient to inspire me to fight in the war and see my family.
As I emerged from the tent, the crisp morning air invigorated my senses. The camp was abuzz with activity, soldiers scrambling to prepare for the impending battle. I took a deep breath, the letter's words still resonating within me.
"Today, we face the enemy head-on! We'll show them no quarter, no mercy! We'll fight for our homeland, for our families, and for our freedom!"
The troops erupted into a frenzy of cheers and chants, their faces set with determination. I joined in, my voice hoarse from shouting.
As we marched towards the battlefield, the sound of drums and war cries filled the air. The enemy lines came into view, a sea of faces twisted with hatred and fear.
I raised my sword, and with a battle cry, we charged into the fray. The clash of steel on steel, the scent of sweat and blood, the cries of the wounded – it was chaos incarnate.
I fought with every ounce of strength I possessed, my sword slicing through the enemy ranks. The letter's words echoed in my mind, fueling my determination.
Suddenly, a enemy soldier lunged at me, his bayonet glinting in the sunlight. I parried his attack, our blades locked in a deadly dance. I twisted and turned, using every trick in the book to gain the upper hand.
With a final, mighty heave, I sent my opponent crashing to the ground. I stood panting, my chest heaving with exertion.
The battle raged on, the tide ebbing and flowing like the ocean's tides. I fought on, my soldiers by my side, until the enemy lines finally broke.
As the dust settled, I surveyed the carnage around me. The enemy lay defeated, their bodies strewn across the battlefield. I felt a sense of pride, of accomplishment, but also a deep sadness.
I thought about the letter which was snet by Y/N.
The letter, written in a familiar hand, spoke of love, hope, and the longing for a reunion. It was from Y/N, the person who had captured my heart. The words danced across the page, speaking directly to my soul. I felt a sense of determination wash over me, a sense of purpose that drove me forward.
But as the battle raged on, I began to feel a sense of unease. The enemy seemed endless, their numbers seemingly growing with each passing minute. I stumbled, my foot catching on a hidden rock. The world around me slowed down, and I felt a sense of impending doom.
As I fell, I saw a enemy commander looming over me, his bayonet raised high. I tried to scramble to my feet, but it was too late. The soldier's blade came crashing down, and
Just when I thought I was dead, Lee Minyoong appeared out of nowhere.
He led the way, and I had a chance to rise, and we swung swords in the battlefield as if there was no tomorrow.
Minyoong charged towards me, his sword flashing in the sunlight. He sliced through the enemy lines with deadly precision, creating a clear path for my escape.
"Get up, you idiot!" he shouted, his voice carrying above the din of battle. "We can't stay here!"
I stumbled to my feet, my legs shaking beneath me. Minyoong grabbed my arm, pulling me forward as we fought our way through the enemy ranks. Our swords moved in perfect sync, a deadly dance that cut down anyone who dared to stand in our way.
"You're slowing down, old man!" Minyoong teased, grinning at me as we paused for a moment to catch our breath.
I rolled my eyes good-naturedly. "Shut up and let's keep moving!"
But as we fought on, I noticed Minyoong's movements slowing. His sword arm began to tremble, and his breathing grew labored. I saw the glint of enemy steel piercing his side, and my heart sank.
"Minyoong!" I screamed, horror etched on my face.
He smiled weakly, his eyes locked on mine. "I'm sorry, buddy," he whispered, his voice barely audible. "I didn't mean to leave you behind..."
With a final swing of his sword, he took down the enemy soldier who had struck him. But it was too late. The damage was done. Minyoong's eyes glazed over, and he collapsed into my arms.
I held him close, tears streaming down my face as the battlefield around us melted into chaos. The sounds of war faded into the background, and all I could hear was Minyoong's labored breathing.
"Please don't leave me, Minyoong," I begged, my voice cracking with emotion. "I need you, man..."
Minyoong's eyes locked on mine, and for a moment, I saw a glimmer of the old spark. He smiled, his lips barely moving.
He muttered, "I am sorry, buddy. Tell Iseul that I truly loved her and never cared about her past like I did in the past but not now. Tell her that in another life we will be together and I will love her like she's the only girl in the world,I promise."
"Additionally, let Y/N know that her big brother is sorry for not shielding her.I understand that money is not everything. The only wonderful emotion is the bond that family creates."
And with that, he was gone. The man who had helped me to meet Y/N, the time I had spent in north korea with him is unforgettable – he was gone like he never existed. I held his lifeless body, my heart shattered into a million pieces.
The war raged on, but for me, it was over. I laid Minyoong's body on the ground, my eyes dry and empty.
I stood up, my sword still clutched in my hand, and surveyed the battlefield. The enemy was still there, but I didn't care. I had nothing left to fight for. The only thing that remained was a deep, aching sadness that threatened to consume me whole.
Seokjin smirked as he saw everything that had previously occurred, quickly noticing my actions and the sadness I was feeling.
He lunged towards me
But.........
