"I'm hooome! Or, WE'RE, hooome!"
"Ah?" Natsuo perked up from his bed, turning away from the phone that he held over his face to his younger brother seated at a desk. "We're? Since when does Fuyumi bring company over?"
"Since today." Shoto answered, not even glancing away from the assignment in front of him for a mere second. "You should go see who it is and why, because dinner's going to be a lot more different than what we're used to."
"Awohh great." Natsuo lurched forward into a seated position and rolled off of his bed, landing on his feet as he lazily shuffled to the open exit of their bedroom. "How I just love dinner being so much more different than what it already is."
Hobbling out into the hall Natsuo shuffled left and made his way towards the front of the house where he could hear faint ruffling of what he gathered to be plastic bags or some other light material. In the light there were two shadows moving and he instantly recognized the company present today, an eyebrow quirking and lips smirking as he came up to the entryway. Instead of joining the two newcomers Natsuo stood just at the edge of the turn with a forearm leaning against the wall, watching Fuyumi point out where Midoriya could place his shoes directly beside her own. "Oh really now? Not even a week into this and you're already bringing him over? You know these walls aren't anything close to soundproof right? I should start charging my headphones ahead of time."
"Well luckily for you, Natsuo, you don't have to worry about anything being too loud or making any kind of noise." Fuyumi replied, several bags of groceries hanging off of her forearms. "Like I'd even think to trek around anything like that so early. Sorry I didn't tell you ahead of time but Izuku's gonna be joining us for dinner tonight, hope you don't mind."
"Hello." Midoriya greeted then bowed. "Thank you for letting me come over today, sorry for bothering you from anything."
"Any particular reason why he's joining us for dinner, Fuyumi? Not that I mind or anything like that but judging by the fact that Shoto said dinner's gonna be different tonight, I really don't like the implication of what's going on here."
"Well, I'm sorry." Fuyumi said. "I know you might not like whatever your gut's telling you but this is a necessary thing that we need to go through, and I really want everybody to listen to what needs to be said. And, yes, that includes Dad."
Natsuo sighed with head dropping and a hand heavily dragging down his face. "Huhhhhh Fuyumi Fuyumi, once again reminding me how much I hate being the younger sibling. Because if I was the older sibling I'd be sparing myself from so much of this stuff."
"You'll get over it, like you always do. Can you take Izuku so he can go hang around with you guys while I make dinner? I'll call you all over once it's ready, and, when he's here."
"Sure but don't expect Shoto to hop on the game on with him, he's kinda moody today. Or, more so than usual at least. Come on dude, this way."
"Sure you don't want me to help out in the kitchen?" Midoriya asked Fuyumi. "My cooking skills aren't as good as yours but I could still help with anything you want."
Fuyumi shook her head with a smile. "It's okay Izuku, I can handle it. Besides it, gives me some time to myself to think on what I should say tonight. If there's any point where this relationship is going to work, it starts with me."
"I see. Well if you ever need help with anything-"
"Hm-hm, I know I know, I'll come get you. Promise."
Midoriya smiled as Fuyumi beamed even further, the two leaning towards each other for a supple ki-
"Awohhh come on." Before they froze instantly at a groaning Natsuo who lumbered around the corner and out of their sight. "At least give a WARNING to people in the area before slamming your faces into each other."
