Chapter 26

Byeol went to the hospital with Yeon Jun, it was their daily routine to go together now. On the way Yeon Jun said, "Looks like you made up with your brother."

Byeol smiled and replied, "Oh is it that obvious? Well yeah, but I will play hard to get because he made us worry about him for some years. He needs to pay back."

Yeon Jun smiled and said, "So you are that type I see".

Byeol just chuckled and Yeon Jun whispered, "I will have to try harder then."

Byeol hearing him say something asked, "Huh? What did you say?"

Yeon Jun gave her an innocent smile and said, "I said nothing."

Saying that he parked the car and they both got down.

They got in and Manager Jung was the first one to greet them. After greeting them he asked, "Well Byeol shi, who was that guy who came looking for you yesterday?"

Byeol replied, "Oh that guy? He is unfortunately my elder brother."

Manger Jung nodded and said, "Oh your brother I see. Anyways, have a good day."

Byeol smiled and nodded.

While Byeol and Yeon Jun got ready for the day Manager Jung went to the ER and said, "Looks like he was her older brother."

Nurse Oh who had bet on it being a relative was happy and said, "Well where is my 1000 wons guys!! Come on, I'm waiting!!"

Nurse Eom, Ah Reum and Manager Jung gave her the 1000 won.

The day went on as hectic as ever, the ladies were the last ones to have dinner, they were eating and talking about how tiring the day was.

Byeol sighed and said, "I know right! I'm so tired!"

Ah Reum joined and said, "You can say that again!"

Eun Jae added, "I can't wait to sleep! Even though the staff from xx hospital have come there doesn't seem to be any less of a burden on us."

Ah Reum agreed and said, "Yes I feel like they are not even doing much! Even though they are all skilled."

Byeol scoffed and said, "Very few people from there would be hard working because xx hospital rarely had such a rush, we can say they lived a lavish life as doctors there."

Everyone chuckled at the tone she said it and Nurse Eom said, "But seriously! They are the only ones I have seen who haven't been motivated by Kim Sa Bu."

Nurse Oh answered, "Aye, not everyone can be motivated, not everyone is as romantic as Kim Sa Bu to understand him."

Everyone agreed with her and Eun Jae said, "I know right! Only the people who are at the same wavelength as us can see that!"

As they chatted more a male nurse rushed in and announced, "A major road accident has happened, four major injured and six medium injured patients are being rushed in! They will arrive in 5 minutes! Total 10 patients, be prepared."

As soon as the nurse finished they all got up and quickly got ready to treat the patients.

The seniors were the first one to take on the two patients, Byeol stepped forward, ready to greet the next patient—but her breath caught in her throat. Blood. Her eyes locked on the face she never expected to see like this—her brother.

"No... No, no, no..." she whispered, her hands trembling.

Her legs refused to move, her world tilting. The hospital lights blurred behind the flood rising in her eyes.
