Two days passed very slowly. Seemed like time has frozen suddenly. I spent my time studying and thinking about him.

He had promised to come to college after two days and I waited eagerly for him. I just wanted to take another look at his innocent face.

Unfortunately, he didn't come online in those two days. His net pack might be over, I thought.

On the third day, he came. I was in the washroom on the third floor of the office building and my friends were waiting in the corridor.

I was washing my face when Swara came in.

"Rishika?"

"Yeah?" I asked, wiping my face with a tissue.

"Puneet is waiting outside for you. He wants your journal." She smiled.

Oh! Wow! Crackers were bursting in my brain. I was excited to see him.

I ran through the corridor and saw him waiting for me at the end of it.

"Hello." I greeted, blushing.

"Hey." He smiled, staring at me for a second. "Journal, please."

I handed him my journal.

"It's totally complete till Ma'm taught us. Take the whole xerox today." I said.

"Sure. I'll be right back. Where will you be?" He asked, heading for the stairs.

"I'll be right here." I smiled.

"Okay." He ran down the stairs.

I waited near the window and saw him going towards the xerox shop.

"Shall we wait?" Nishi asked as she and Swara came out of a classroom.

"It will take time. You girls go on." I assured.

"Alright." She nodded and told me bye and went away.

Finally, he came upstairs after twenty minutes and gave my journal back.

"Thanks a lot, Rishika." He smiled and looked away as usual.

"Mention not." I giggled. "I'll go home now."

"Umm..." He started to say something, but stopped.

"Yeah?" I asked.

"Well, from where do you take a bus?"

I told him that I usually board the bus from the bus stand which is a five minutes walking distance from college.

"Shall I drop you there?" He asked as we walked downstairs, in the parking lot.

"Oh, no, thanks." I blushed. I couldn't imagine sitting behind him on his Activa without touching him a bit.

"Why? Anything wrong?" He asked, frowning.

"No, no." I blushed. "My friends are coming. I'll be going with them." I lied.

"Okay." He smiled. I hoped he wouldn't catch me lying. "Still if you want, I will drop you. By which route do you go home?"

"You know Shopper's Stop? I pass it everyday. That highway, if you remember." I answered.

"Oh, cool. Do you pass by Mega Mart?" His eyebrows rose.

"Yeah. That's right. You know the place, huh?"

"Actually, I go by that flyover opposite Mega Mart. Pimple Gurav is that side. Then I can drop you in front of Mega Mart. Take a bus from there." He insisted.

Oh gosh! Why was he so forcible to drop me at least somewhere on the road?

"No, thank you." I mumbled. "Friend are coming, remember?"

"Oh, yeah." His face fell. "No problem. Some other time then. See you."

"Bye." I smiled and walked away while he caught up with a couple of guys outside and started talking to them.

That night, he was online again. But before I could type a message, he texted me.

He: Hey. Had dinner?
Me: Not yet. U?
He: I had it just now. What's up?
Me: Thinking to participate in Firodiya.
He: What's Firodiya?
Me: That's a big competition of musical drama in which almost all the colleges of Pune participate.
He: So, ur participating in singing?
Me: Yep. How do u know that? (That was really surprising. I never told him that I sing!)
He: U were singing today morning.
Me: Did I? I don't remember.
He: I came back from taking the xerox and I heard u sing.
Me: Aha! So, u remember that? :o (He heard me so patiently then!)
He: Yeah. U sing well.
Me: Thanks. :) But unfortunately, 12th std students r not allowed to participate in this competition as it's in Feb. Board exam time. :(
He: If the program's on Feb, it might be a problem. :(
Me: Yep. I'll do it next year. :)
He: Hmm.
Me: I'm gonna get prize in Jan for singing competition.
He: Which singing competition?
Me: The one that the college organizes every year. It was last month.
He: U won in that?
Me: Yep. First prize.
He: Cool! :)
Me: I gotta go now. Goodnight. :)
He: Bye. Goodnight. :)

When I went to bed, I couldn't help, but think of him. I was addicted to chat with him every night from nine pm. It was like a fixed time for us to come online and chat.

And I couldn't stop thinking about how he heard me sing today. He had very keen ears. And maybe he felt something for me and so heard me patiently. Otherwise, who would remember if anyone sings in a low voice?

He definitely felt something for me.
