Chapter 7

The final trial.
In court 9:30 AM I am in the witness chair, being asked in front of the judge
"Miss Leena Mark Adams? Is that your name?" That's Frank's parents' lawyer
"Yes it is my name." My lawyer, Lauren told me to always make a very very clear statement so they won't put words into my mouth or twist and turn my words against me so i was straightforward and very clear in every answer i gave
"Miss Leena is it true that you are eighteen years old, a straight A student, and have 3 academic scholarships and 2 athletic scholarships yet you refused to take them all?"
"Yes it is true, i am eighteen years old and i refused 5 scholarships that have been offered to me, 3 are academic and 2 for soccer and kickboxing."
"And why is that miss Leena?"
"Because i want to be a detective and my only hobby that can be turned into a career that i love is writing."
"Why didn't you study literature and become a writer?"
"Because i prefer being a detective over turning a hobby into an obligation i have to do to earn my living."
"What kind of detective exactly do you want to become?"
"Homicides detective."
"You wanted to investigate murders and suicides?"
"Yes and i still want."
"See your honor, she just said she did want to to investigate murders, which might lead us to her wanting to do it before she actually becomes a detective, which leads us to saying that this case needs further investigations and delaying as the witness and supposedly prone obviously has a lot she did not share with us."
"Objection, your honor my client said "yes and i still want to" the question was posed in the past tense in this way "you wanted to become a detective?" So my client answered in both past and present tense which reassures that this theory has nothing to do with the case since it is just a dream of my client which affects nothing in the case." Said Laurence
"Objection accepted, Miss Reese your theory is denied, do you have any further questions for the witness?"
"Yes i do your honor"
"You may continue"
"Miss Adams can you sum up the accident for me?"
"Yes i can. We were five teenagers, hiking in the mountains, regular act, we found a what-seemed-like an abandoned hut, it was getting dark and cold and we wanted to make it to the very top of the mountain so we decided to stay in there for the night,"
"Can you tell me the names of all the five?" She interrupted
"Yes, James Lin, Nina Marcus, Lucas Froid, Frank Stone, and I."
"Tell me what happened after Miss Marcus and Mr Lin left you"
