A/N: CHAPTER 101!!!! LET'S GOOOOO!!!! THERE WILL BE A FEW MORE CHAPTERS BUT IT'S FINALLY STARTING!!! THE DEPARTURE IS GETTING SO CLOSE!!! I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO SAY XDD THIS HAS BEEN A WILD RIDE!!! PLEASE ENJOY!!!

On the night before the departure day came, everyone in the apartment went to bad early, but Subaru lay in his bed awake, staring at the dark ceiling and unable to sleep. He was sure that the silent staring in the dark lasted at least an hour, and Rem and Beatrice, who were on his two sides, weren't asleep either. Though they remained quiet after bidding one another good night, the periodic shifting of their bodies told Subaru that they were having trouble sleeping too. However, Subaru knew that at this point, nothing he could do or say would make any changes to what they were feeling. It was simply natural to feel such things, and there was no way to fight it, so might as well just let it be and wait until sleep finally decided to come and welcome them into the temporary realm of dreams. Subaru waited, and waited, and waited more, and finally, when it was well past midnight, his eyelids drooped, and he was in the embrace of sleep at last. It wasn't a particularly sound sleep, but it wasn't a restless sleep either. It was one of those weird ones where you just closed your eyes, and the next thing you knew when you opened your eyes, morning had already come. The sleep felt brief, but Subaru wasn't feeling tired. He wasn't particularly rejuvenated, but it gave him enough energy to turn around and greet the two sleep next to him. His left side was empty, which was to be expected, because Rem always woke up the earliest to prepare breakfast for everyone. However, when Subaru turned to the other side, hoping to see Beatrice's face, she wasn't there either. This vanquished all of the remaining sleepiness Subaru was feeling.

Subaru sat up straight, bouncing up and down slightly on his bed and looking wildly around. He quickly glanced at the clock, and it showed that it was about fifteen to eight. It wasn't a late time, and usually, on days where they didn't have anything to do, their usual wake up time was around eight thirty to nine. It had always been like this, and it remained that way even in the past week. Subaru reached for the glass of water on his desk, gulping it down rather carelessly and spilling some down his front. Thinking that he needed to stop panicking over nothing, he calmed down and started talking to himself. "Alright calm down now Subaru, why're you freaking out?? True, you usually wake up seeing Bea-ko's cute sleeping face, and sometime you get to see Rem's when you're lucky, but this is no reason for you to make such an overreaction. Just go outside and see everyone—" Just then, someone knocked on his door. "Ohayou, son, you awake?" He heard his father's voice ask. "C'mon Subaru. Breakfast is ready. You don't wanna let it go cold." Kenichi said, giving the door a few more knocks. Now Subaru was seriously confused. How the hell was his dad here?? "What the hell...??" Subaru muttered confusedly and feeling the panic that was just subdued rise back up again. "Okay seriously what the hell??" Subaru growled at himself as he jumped out of his bed and started getting dressed. As he put on his clothes, he couldn't help but think that this felt just like how it used to be when he was still living with his parents, and a terrible thought surfaced in his mind. "No no no no no no no don't you fuck with me now don't you dare put me back in time so much...!!!" Subaru thought as he almost banged his door open. "Oh great, Son, I was gonna go knock on the door again if you hadn't come out. Go brush your teeth, Natsuno-kun's made us some really nice food for breakfast." Kenichi said with a smile, and Subaru's gaze fell upon the table, where plates of delicious looking waffles and tamagoyaki were already ladened, and in one of the chairs was Aki, drinking what appeared to be a cup of coffee. "Ohayou, Natsuki." Aki greeted him, hiding a yawn behind his hand, and as Subaru was staring at the table, Hinata, wearing an apron and holding a frypan, came out the kitchen. "Oh Subaru, ohayou. Did you sleep well? I've got the breakfast ready. It's a perfectly balanced mixture of Japanese and western breakfast." Hinata said as he grabbed a new plate and transferred some more tamagoyaki to it.
