Biggy didn't say anything right away. The clock in her bedroom read: 1:30am. None of them were near tired yet, lying beside one another, a comfortable silence filling the air.
"Do you ever think about what would've happened if we never met?"
Y/N turned her head toward him, her cheek sinking into the pillow. "Not really,"
He shrugged, eyes flicking up to the fairy lights. "Okay, well do you think about what would've happened if.. I don't know none of this happened?"
She stared at him, whispering, "What do you mean?"
Biggy glanced over at her. His eyes were softer now, quieter.
"Like what if my family never did youtube. What if I just had a 'normal' childhood."
"Well," she said, "I would've never met you."
They were both quiet for a moment. Not the awkward kind - but a silence that was deep in thought, pensive almost.
Y/N reached out again, her fingers brushing against his.
He looked at their hands, then back at her. "Yeah, that's what I mean. Like it's all some kind of chain. It's like I was meant to meet you."
She smiled, even though it was small and almost not even there, "Okay, stop the 'Mr Cringe'"
He chuckled, running a hand through his hair, "Okay, okay, geez. I was just trying to have a nice chat with my girlfriend."
"You know you snore, right?" Biggy said suddenly.
"What?"
Biggy grinned, full and lopsided. "You do. Like a dinosaur."
Y/N swatted at him with a pillow, and he caught it before it hit his face. All those minigames from the challenges he did as a kid really did come in handy.
"Take it back," she warned.
"Never."
And just like that, the tension cracked open and disappeared, fading into the soft, sleepy quiet that filled the room like a blanket.
Biggy lay back down, pulling the covers up a little higher. "Night, Y/N."
"Night, Bigs."
A pause.
"Hey," he whispered.
She turned her head slightly. "Yeah?"
"I'm glad we're where we are."
Y/N smiled up at the ceiling, fairy lights blinking like stars.
"Me too," she whispered back.
