Alfonzo

"You're going to get wrinkles if you keep frowning so hard." Kier's deep voice calls out.

My head snaps up so fast I'm surprised I don't snap it as my eyes lock onto Kier's frame leaning against the wall next to my open window.

"You met up with him didn't you?" My eyes narrow as I stand up from the bed and stalk towards him.

Kier doesn't seem fazed at all as I step in closer to his personal space, so close I can feel his breath fanning on my forehead.

His dark eyes pin me in place and a smirk dances on his lips as he takes in my expression.

"You seem annoyed." He drawls, tilting his head slightly, "But why? I was only helping the little one out."

"I told you to stay away didn't I?" My voice quietens but the sneer is evident in my tone.

Kier straightens, his shoulders going stiff as he stares at me before a scoff leaves his lips, "And why would I listen to you?"

"How could I forget, you only care about yourself."

My words seem to anger him because in the next moment, his gloved hands reach out, swapping our places around so my back touches the wall and his arms are caging me in from either side.

"Darling." He murmurs, leaning down so our lips are almost touching.

My eyes widen at the proximity but my body refuses to move, refuses to shove him away.

"I care about you more than anyone else does." He says, voice edged with venom.

Kier pulls away, giving me space as his dark eyes wander around my room before landing on the figure sleeping in my bed.

"The doctor."

He turns around to face me, a smirk tugging at the corner of his lips, "You want my help?"

"No." I scowl at him, crossing my arms against my chest.

His eyes follow the movement and my scowl deepens as he openly stares at my forearms.

"You want to know who killed him?" He asks, stalking towards me.

"I think I already have an idea."

His brow raises and he nods at me, curious to see where I'm going with this.

"It was my brother wasn't it?" I don't know how Alonzo would've managed to do this but I wouldn't put it past him.

Kier surprises me by chuckling, the sound dark and chilling, "You really have no clue do you darling?"

"Don't call me that." I swat his hand away as he reaches for me, crossing over the room to check on Leo.

My eyes soften as I take in his cute expression, his eyes are shut tight, mouth wide open with drool falling down the sides.

I can't help but click a picture of him, adding it to my favourites section in my gallery.

"You don't take many pictures do you." Kier murmurs from besides me, his head resting on my shoulder.

Annoyed, I shrug him off, pocketing my phone and raising the covers higher on Leo so he doesn't get cold.

"Alonzo isn't the only one you need to be careful of." Kier speaks up after a moment, his eyes flicking towards me.

I raise a brow, who else could it be then?

"Don't look at me like that, I'm still trying to piece everything together." He mutters, taking a step backwards.
